0.5 stars. I got nothing nice to say. I'll leave it at that.
1-1.5 stars. Straight up a bad game if I give it this rating Im probably mercy rating it because I liked one thing about it.
2 stars Not a very good game but has enough merit for me to not outright shit on it.
2.5 stars is "mid" Not a bad game but not great either won't recommend unless something really stood out to me.
3 stars is a good game but there is some flaws that irk me to an extent.
3.5 stars "You're pretty good kid" This is the beginning of the higher spectrum of my ratings start.
4 stars means its a solid game. May have things I might not agree with but I cannot deny the quality and I can certainly replay with no issues.
4.5 stars is basically near perfect. Maybe one or two things bother me or the source material is superior but this is very close to GOAT TIER.
5 stars is essentially perfect. Nothing but the best.

Morrowind is a special game. Despite it's age it handles this series in a manner that was never replicated again. Now I will say it does have it's issues however the pros outweigh the cons. And a large amount of those cons can now be modded out as vanilla morrowind is extremely rough. Nonetheless despite being overshadowed by the bethemoth that bioware dropped that same year this was the blueprint, the progenitor, the first generation of what we know as modern bethesda games. This is essentially the GTA III of high fantasy, 3D, open world, sandbox, third/first person western RPGs! It may not hold your hand, it will most likely chew and spit you out, but it is worth it. Anyone who is a bethesda fan and/or a western rpg fan should run this game to the end at least once.

And if you are trying to modern up this game up and gussy it up for the ball I got you with a modular modding guide (only sections 1-3 are mandatory.)

This is one of those gems that maybe you've heard a lot of people talk about but you never actually sat down to play. Or maybe you did play it but its been years since. Nonetheless this is a fantastic title in the TES series and while it has its caveats its is still worth running in today's age. It may not have skyrim's more robust dialogue system but the main & side quests are very rich and the world building is certainly up to bethesda's par. For many this was beth's magnum opus for quite some time and while I don't agree with it I can understand why people view it as so. As an older bethesda title it can be a little difficult to mod but hey thats why I got yall with a modular modding guide (only sections 1-3 are mandatory.)

I should not have to rely on DLSS to have a playable framerate with a 3090. This game is extremely poorly optimized and my thermals are through the roof when I do play. Yes its a visually impressive game but at the very least I should be able to get 60 fps on native. Even with the DLSS I still get occasional stutters and fps drops. That is unacceptable and there is no solution. No mods.

Moving past the performance of this game it's a solid remake in the sense that it kept basically everything kosher and improved nearly on everything. The atmosphere is not as daunting and intimidating and that vibe just isn't the same. I will say I do wish they kept Isaac's silence or just really restrict his speaking as I like that it took a whole game for him to finally speak. Also wished they kept his design from the original games and just made him look younger instead of drastically changing his appearance.

Overall its not a bad game but the poor optimization really held back my ability to enjoy this title. Get on a deep sale and play during the winter because boy does it burn hott. Not the worse remake but not the best very far from it. Go play the original at some point if you haven't
