Solid gameplay... Mid story. Super disappointed how poorly it integrated with "The Man who erased his name," totally wasted potential. Enjoy the playthrough but could of been so much better, which is saying a lot given my score haha

Pleasantly surprised but ended up no lif'ing. Satisfying strategic RPG while also being lenient when it comes to difficulty. Have heard it's "too easy" but exactly why I liked it. Sometimes u just wanna marinate in a vibe and not have to worry about min/maxing. Lots of low key music gems too.

This game made me reflect on how much I mistrust review sites now. The amount of hyperbole around reviews most likely shifted my perspective prior to start up but overall felt like mostly nostalgia bait. Open world nonsense, dated gameplay, bad mini games.... just very mid imo. Music and nostalgia WAS amazing but the more I hear "you can skip the mini games" when I try to share critiques with FF7 fans, the less I want to ever play this lol
