This game is probably the only game that can keep me coming back consitently and it is for good reason to. The world is amazing in my eyes with a beautiful story and great exploration and characters.
Since 1.0 never got a seperate update I will say here that the Mondstat Arc is good, not the best but the characters and the region is one of mt favourites and it means a lot to me personally so I will always have a bias to it.

This will be my thoughts on the new areas released and the world quest as a whole.
Wow this was an amazing quest. This is my first proper experience with Fontaine as I had never been there on my old account so it was a breath of fresh air. This is my 2nd completed content drop due to coming here super early because I pulled Arlecchino.
The environments are beautiful for this new area with my favourite being the Faded Castle. The castle was small and easy to explore fully before moving on to the main chunk being the Sea of Bygone Eras taking place in the past but carrying over the same mechanics for exploration as the castle.
The story which I won't go into much was intresting following new characters for this world quest and takes around 7-8 hours to complete if you spend your time exploring as well which is highly recommended. The ending scene was beautiful with the visuals and the music which is something that is well worth experiencing.
The new boss it brings into the game is found in the Faded Castle which is called the Legatus Golem is based of the new enemy type the Praetorian Golems which have shields that require a Claymore or Geo to destroy the shield of which the boss shares that mechanic of.
Overall the new area added to the game with this update was a small yet fun to explore and the story was intresting and kept me engaged throughout.

Funnily enought the first section to be cleared on my replay. The map is at 91% exploration and I have almost got all the Crimson Agates so not quite 100% completion but I did the main quest before the world level went up for the tons of primogens.
This was the first and only new area added to Mondstat and introduced the freezing mechaninc to the game. There was an event tied to this which is gone now but it added Albedo and Ganyu so that is very nice. Overall for an early content release this was very nice as I don't think there was anything new to explore until the Chasm which was quite far away in terms of time before updates.
Update (Mastered):
100% achieved and all side quests finished up now. I can say now the verticality of the area has kind of gotten to me with the mix of sheer cold made exploration a pain at times. Still I would say for early game this a good area to explore due to the higher primogen count in chests in comparison to the rest of Mondstat. It's probably one of the better updates to come out during the 1.0-1.6.
