Call it a boring pick if you want not only is RDR2 my favourite videogame of all time, it is my favourite piece of media hands down. I think it tells on of the best stories ever written. It has some of the best written characters and story moments and has some fantastic visuals to boot. Say what you want about the generic rockstar gameplay but its never something i notice. A sensational experience.

I believe this to be nintendos magnum opus and they have not and will not make a game of equal quality (at least story wise) again. Majoras mask is a dark and depressing masterpiece which i still cannot believe is considered a kids game

Its funny that all 4 seasons of this game are better than anything else in the walking dead universe. Season 1 and 2 are both masterpieces, a great apocalypse story with some of the best characters in history. While the gameplay isnt the main focus of any of these games it still is good for what it is. Season 3 and 4 have their problems and hell even season 2 has its faults, but put all 4 of these together and you get a tragic tale of a girl learning to survive in an zombie riddled world, and its fantastic.

This may be a controversial opinion but to me Ghost of Tsushima has the best sword combat in any game ever. It is so fluid and gruesome it makes the game so fun to play. The visuals as well stick out as some of the best on last gen consoles. While the story is fantastic, it is not what shines the most for me as the combat is so enjoyable it makes we want to just run around finding enemies to fight. I believe it was snubbed for GOTY in 2020.

Such a fun sandbox experience to sink hundreds of hours into. Story wise this game doesnt get the credit it deserves but where it shines is its level design. The new sandbox spin on this franchise was the best move they could make. Each level has hundreds of hours of content to play through and complete with new content added monthly. My go to timewaster game.

A classic to be seen of these lists. What else is there to say about the last of us that hasn't already be said. It revolutionised story driven videogames and thats all that really needs to be said, The characters are fantastic, combat is great and the graphics specifically on this PS5 remake are a pleasure to look at. A true classic of the modern era.

Perhaps another controversial pick for other reasons. Most people would pick city as the best Arkham game, but i have always been drawn more towards asylum. I love the enclosed atmosphere of the asylum and the linear story. The performances are fantastic as always (RIP Kevin Conroy) and this game laid the foundation for free flow combat. Whilst city has the better gameplay, Origins has the better boss fights and Knight has the better visuals, Asylum has its own unique charm to it which i love and it always draws me back to give it another playthrough.

A very controversial pick but I cannot ignore how amazing this game is. I believe that outside of the pacing issues, this game is almost perfect. The story feels like one massive gut punch throughout and it perfect captures how an apocalypse should feel. Its tragic and depressing and will leave you feeling empty for days after playing and i can understand how that will turn people away from this game but it is one of the only videogames to ever give me a feeling like that and i believe its something to be commended for. Not to even mention the graphics which were so ahead of its time, I hope for a PS5 remaster soon.

If someone was to ask me what game series I find most underrated I would say the Mafia series. Mafia Definitive edition more than any. This is what a remake should be. The graphics look sensational, that can be said for the landscapes and the character design. The story is gripping and the characters are fantastically written. Truly the best gangster game out there, and one of the best Mafia stories ever told.

In my opinion the most entertaining and well made VR game OAT. It has everything you would want from a VR survival shooter. A fantastic atmosphere, amazing shooting mechanics and gun maintenance and scavenging mechanics. To me encapsulates what a survival horror game should be.
