This game is fantastic and I'm so glad they relegated Wario Land 2 and 3's puzzle-platformer gimmick to small sections that break up the otherwise incredibly fast-paced levels.

Cute game, very short and sweet and I can't bring myself to hate it.

Hard as balls but fun, minus half a star for removing the cute anime girl protagonist in this version.

Weird how they made a separate disc for X8.

Knuckles' Chaotix is a love it or hate it game and that pretty much sums up my thoughts on it, I adore the style of this game, this game's artstyle embodies everything I love about classic era Sonic, the abstract, psychedelic and unapologetically 90's aesthetic is peak classic Sonic to me along with Sonic CD and the old Sega Harmony artwork.
The sound track is also quite good, it's not my favourite soundtrack in the series (that's Sonic CD) but it's funky and "cool" for lack of a better word, I love everything about this game except for actually playing it.

Chaotix's gameplay is just dull, the levels feel the same, put up no challenge, barely have any enemies and the game just drags.
Playing Chaotix, I feel nothing, it's so damn boring and just makes me wish I was playing CD or 3&K, it's such a shame because like I said everything on the audio/visual side is fantastic but the game itself just sucks, not the worst thing ever but just mind-numbing.

Not to be too contrarian but Mega Man 4 is the best game here.

It's about what I expected, unplayable without following a map but I have a weird soft spot for these old cryptic games so I had fun playing this.

Pretty solid port for the time, has 2 player co-op unlike the NES port and it feels close enough to the arcade version, there is quite a lot of flickering and slow down and the enemy AI is very dumb and exploitable but overall not bad.

Once you learn how to actually play it properly (scoring mechanics and raising Chao) the game clicks and becomes something really special.

I have so many fond memories of this, just a really fun and charming game that felt like a virtual toy box.
Has a lot more charm than the sequels but lacks a lot of the tools that made LBP2 flourish.

One of the few instances where the previous version is better, it's SF2 but SLOOOOOOOW.
Play Hyper Fighting or Super Turbo instead.

I'd say this is my new favourite shmup, absolutely loved it, Success, I kneel.
I love the chain system, I love the grab mechanics, I love the risk and reward of the special move inputs, I love the art, I love the goofy-ass faces in the cutscenes and in general I love this game.
The only thing I'm not really a fan of is the music which I found to be mostly forgettable outside of the Cotton 1 medley.
