When you really like a game as a kid but then you play it as an adult and realise it's just mediocre shovelware.

I feel like this is just one of those games you had to grow up with in order to enjoy it, this was my first experience with a Tony Hawk game so it didn't take long before I got filtered by the stiff controls and awful camera preventing me from actually being able to perform the tasks, I got to downhill jam and gave up.
Great soundtrack btw.

I'd say this aged like milk but this came out AFTER Virtua Fighter 2 which still plays great to this very day.

Getting there but still a bit stiff, really charming though and Kazuya has to be one of my favourite final bosses in any fighting game.

Going into this I was pleasantly surprised, it's not what I personally wanted from 3D Sonic but it's fun to run around in the open-world and the combat's surprisingly not awful, I'd say it's (sort of) a much-needed breath of fresh air for the franchise even if it's just SonicTeam trend-chasing again.
I really wish the environmental design and music were less boring, I don't like how much of the open-world level design is (literally) on-rails and the cyber-space levels are just shitty versions of the boost levels in Generations but otherwise I had fun, nothing amazing but it's solid which ironically probably puts it it the top five for 3D Sonic games.

Haven't played Final Horizon yet, I hear it's abysmal dog shit but we'll see.

While I agree with the general consensus that this is one of the weaker and less notable entries in the Cotton series, it's still a really fun time that's mechanically sound, has pretty graphics and an impressive lack of slowdown compared to other SNES shmups.
Also getting to play it on actual SNES hardware with a (semi) official PAL cartridge is really cool.

I get it, it's the first one so of course it's going to be rough and primitive compared to what came after but I struggled to get any enjoyment out of this even after learning that Toad and Koopa are the only characters worth a damn and how to counter-steer, just found it frustrating.
Got to Rainbow Road and shelved it, if you want a good SNES racing game just stick to the original F-Zero.

Came out feeling mixed on this one, I liked the atmosphere and I was into it when the game tried to be disturbing, I also found the puzzles to be fun even if they are simple.
What I didn't like about the game was its tonal whiplash with it adding dumb jokes and comic relief which just took me out of the experience, depending on how the next chapters turn out, I'll either come to love the whole thing or hate it.

Playing this should be considered a form of torture worse than waterboarding.

1993

A decent game with some fantastic music somewhat ruined by how long it is for being a game with no saves or passwords.

While I love the idea of a Wario metroidvania, a lot of this game feels like its designed to annoy you forcing you to constantly backtrack because you got hit by an enemy, essentially do no-damage-runs of bosses or forcing you to play that godawful golf minigame.
Thank God they abandoned the puzzle platform formula for the next game.

There are things I like about this game such as the fact that you're always told where to go if you're stuck via the temple in the first map, the feeling of progression when you unlock new abilities, the art is top-tier as far as GameBoy games go and the game is really fun when you're not having to go through cramped maze-like levels but I'm in no rush to replay this one or even go for 100%

Soulless remakes, better than the Wii remake but just play the originals.
