Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil
Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil
It's a good sequel to Klonoa 1. But I was getting a little burnt out near the end with the snowboarding levels and the last stage having all those bottomless pits. Hopefully people buying the collection means we get a Klonoa 3 someday
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
Narratively, it's so much better the first game. I just thought some gameplay sections are just unfun (Emma, mashing, and the solidus fight)
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile
Emulated the PS1 version after the remake announcement and got a really charming platformer. You can beat it in around 4 hours so give it a shot if you have any passing appreciation for platformers.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence
My favorite MGS so far. Stealth and combat are fun. The story is a masterpiece, now that I actually have proper context for everything now. Pacing is a little bad in some places but it's hard to find anything wrong with the game.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Easily the best Pokemon game since Gen 5. It's very rough around the edges but it's just really fun going around catching everything in sight.
Bloodborne
Bloodborne
For my first FromSoft game, it was a great game. Atmosphere and gameplay were incredible although it took me a while to understand the lore bit by bit. My only real problem was the camera but apparently that can be jank in every Souls game(?)
