ONE MORE GOD REJECTED

I'M THE BUG INSIDE YOU.

An all time RPG that nails it in gameplay and atmosphere. It's oppressive, brutal, and cold, but it also finds places of humor and obsurdity. An absolute must play in the series.

For a simple game mechanically, this is a very narratively complex game. The storyline absolutely grips you for the entire time you play through, although there are times in which the traversal gets to feel more like added filler vs just going from story beat to story beat.

It's an absolute must play.

This was one of the most uninspired games I've ever played.

At one point, this was one of my recommended Sims to race. Now? It's just too dated with a company that just sketch as hell.

It starts off well, but I've found to just not be interested in these characters. I really want to like this game, I really do, but there's something about the storyline that isn't clicking with me.

Ok, here me out.

You have:
Hard hitting soundtrack

Players that don't match their actual ethnicity

They used to put stickem on their hands to catch those balls, now they got those gloves

Cheat codes that made you frog jump and ricochet off the sidelines

A stadium in a Cereal Bowl

It's peak "ok, surface level, serious football game. Dive in? Absolutely bat shit insane"

This game, ugh.

The combat here is a ton of fun and the boss battles were fun to go through - at first. Having to go through the loop 4 times though? I only did it out of complete spite but did not enjoy the loops (nor did it really provide any payoff at all). This game was the reason I held off on Octopath Traveler (even though they have nothing in common, I saw the title style be the same and just noped out) because of the design choices in this.

2006

Dang, this game was a trip. The melee combat was fun, the storyline was really great, all the characters are ridiculous and was cool to see the character progression of Jimmy throughout the game.

The Grand Prix tracks were fun, the battle arenas were absolute chaos. Was fun climbing the block towers to unlock everything although some characters towers were way too short.

This game was cute as hell playing when growing up.

Had an interesting concept, but was just not gripping or good enough to keep me interested.

Pro:
Being able to play as other characters.
Con:
The characters sometimes just were completely broken and frustrating to play.

My personal favorite of the series, sharpens up the gaps from one and has an all time antagonist.
