"Where's the big woman?" I ask, three levels after killing her.

Fi: "There's a 70% chance that the thing you're looking for is right behind those doors."
Me: "I've played this game before, so there's a 100% chance it's there."
Fi: "..."

Nintendo writers: "What name can we use for the land that's the opposite of Hyrule?"
One writer: "Ummm... how about Lorule?"

Vanilla Dark Souls II is more of a 3.5/5, thanks to some lackluster level design and bosses. All of the DLC is great, though.

Finished it just minutes before Psychonauts 2 came out!

Weird that Demon's Souls will never get the recognition that Dark Souls gets for starting this genre, but, admittedly, Dark Souls does feel like a perfected version.

I started a Zelda marathon all the way back in February for Zelda's 35th anniversary (and to will Breath of the Wild 2 to a release date). Now, after 12 games (sorry I don't have all of them; I'm missing a lot of the portable ones), I've finally completed my marathon and BOTW 2 got a release date for next year! I'm happy for all of that, since I got to play Zelda games I had never gotten around to (like The Minish Cap and A Link Between Worlds) and relive old favorites (like Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker. Though Breath of the Wild may never quite replicate the exact feeling of playing it for the first time and making those discoveries and feeling those emotions, I still had a lovely time with it once again. Here's hoping that Breath of the Wild 2 will be just as exciting and memorable as the first one.

Gotta say... big step down from Symphony of the Night.

I like it more than Circle of the Moon, since it's more like Symphony of the Night. However, it is arguably too much like Symphony of the Night and not as much its own game.

Finally, after multiple halted playthroughs over the years where I've lost save files and gotten stuck, I've finally finished Earthbound! And, it's as weird and wonderful and surprisingly emotional as I've heard.

Shame that I think got through this one the quickest of any of the Castlevanias, because it's definitely the best one I've played since Symphony of the Night.
