Easily one of my favorite 2D platformers. The level design is amazing, the gameplay is very smooth, art direction is great, the soundtrack, etc.
Very much a masterpiece, that somehow is surpassed by its sequel.

This is just a really nice coloration of the original game. The game itself is a fine enough little romp. The last two Rainbow Shards are a bit annoying to get, and the true final boss is a bit of a time waster.

I played this for the first time, and honestly, it just feels like a mostly worse version of the game. With the exception of the final boss, and the Z-Buster.
It's just a very cramped experience, with slightly more clunky controls.
