Very fun gameplay loop with a beautiful pixel artstyle and a wonderful, haunting soundtrack.

I had a super enjoyable couple of hours with the game, but I wish there was more to it in terms of permanent unlockables and upgrades that could keep me engaged for a while longer.

In terms of 3D platformers; it's really strong. the movement controls, music, style, and overall story/gameplay show high levels of polish all around.
Unquestionably a master class in its category, and the pinacol of 3D Mario design.

- Overall improvement from 1: movement, new funcionalities etc.
- Soundtrack not as memorable as the first one (não me marcou tanto) (at least for now)
- The light forming the triangle when opening portals shouldn't go that fast, slower is more tense
- While 2 is the better game in the technical sense, 1 is still my favorite because you get more of the wtf-is-happening-what-is-this-who-are-you mystery feeling (I guess that's natural when making a sequel)
- That being said, I really enjoyed the ending and some dialogues, so it has a chance of becoming my favorite in future playthroughs
- I thought the ending was doing something I REALLY hated, was ready to insta-start a new game to try and get a better one, but then it fixed itself, false alarm.

This game sucks. You know how Rick & Morty has this repetitive cringe 'comedy' they like to do where a conversation is much more casual or awkward than usual and they drag it out for about a minute. Well they dragged it out over a whole game here. All the characters feel like something from the show except someone has gone through each and every line of dialogue and carefully removed anything that might have been funny.

This leaves you with a game full of annoying one-dimensional characters that you've already seen before who look and sound ugly. It's like playing Bugsnax. The environments are also mostly ugly outside of the main hub area which is a shame because the performance is poor so it's the worst of both worlds.

In terms of the gameplay, it's mundane and terrible. It's mostly garbage and repetitive shooting sections with some rigid traversal mechanics. Clearly the main draw of this game was supposed to be the writing and characters so they just half-assed the actual gameplay.

I'm very surprised at the generally positive reception for this game because I think it's an abomination.

Lembro de zerar esse daqui e escutar Faroeste Caboclo.

I played this after finishing 5 multiple times and well... It wasn't as half fun as 5 and way less memorable in most cases.
When I replayed it in chronological order, it made much more sense and I had a lot of fun just enjoying the good parts of the game. Still has the weakest story, and I couldn't summarize what it was about if you had a gun to my head.
In short, RE6 is a fun mess.

nothing hurts more than seeing a franchise and character you love being butchered in real time

First half is great but as the game goes on it introduces some awkwardly designed enemies and platforming that doesn't work well within the game's overall clunky movement system. I hope they refine what worked for the sequel.
