I wish there was more of it. A fun fantasy of a spacefight where you both fly and fight in a ship and conduct the overall battle

Lots of fun to play against friends

Unbelievably addictive automation

A fun FPS within an M.C. Escher drawing about the SCP foundation

One of my favorite games to boot up when I'm bored

Simple mechanics in a wonderfully alien environment

It's just so much fun to hop online with some friends and play a round of minigolf. Friends and I even often just sit and hang out chatting in the incredibly chill course environments. Occasionally the auto-position feature is a little off, but it's forgivable

A game that's hard to say anything about without spoiling it. An exquisite and melancholy puzzle exploration.

I had been following this game's development for a while, and it was absolutely worth it. The moment-to-moment gameplay is fun and leaves a high skill ceiling with lot of room for mastery. It's certainly not the hardest souls-like (I beat it and still can't get past the Abyss Watchers in DS3), but it is substantially hard enough for beating the bosses to feel rewarding. There are a couple of bad bosses (Ceviche Sisters I'm looking at you), but most are fun, and some have genuine surprises to offer.
Despite the game's colorful and happy appearance, the narrative goes deep and dark into themes of decay, corruption, and loss, and the ending refuses to pull its punches.

Easily my favorite game on the GBA (but it may be supplanted once I play the sequel). The campaign is fun and challenging without feeling impossible, and one-off "War Room" missions are unique and interesting.

I loved this game so much. I get why some people love Kojima so much, and I do too now. The visuals are gorgeous and evocative, and the gameplay is excellently paced between tense supernatural encounters and walking or riding your trike to chill tunes. The long and frequent cutscenes--especially at the beginning and end--could put some off, but I enjoyed them. Heartman is committed to his motif on levels I've never seen and I love him.
