This is the greatest piece of media ever created, I adore it, both the first and second one, I honestly cannot pick between them, you cannot make me. 64 be damned, 3D Land/World be damned, Sunshine be FUCKING damned, Odyessy be mildly damned, THIS is both the pinnacle of Mario, the pinnacle of game design, the pinnacle of world-building/universe-building, the PEAK of any and all creativity in anything I've ever played, watched, or read. I can only give this 5 Stars (10/10) but actually... no, this is an 11/10 duology. An exception must be made for the truly exceptional.

This is the first game I ever owned, and getting a chance to revisit it was a blast. I believe it holds up remarkably well, largely due to its humor, atmosphere, and overall charm. While the gameplay isn't anything remarkable, I'd still highly recommend giving this game a go.

The plane level sucks ass, though.

But this sparks so many amazing memories for me, I couldn't possible rank it any lower than 5 stars

Best racing game I ever played

Incredibly fun, super stylish, and may have helped me better understand the love for the back and slash genre. Combos feel satisfying to pull off even without being super complicated. Most of the challenge comes from performing the combos on beat to the music, which always feels amazing to do.

The writing and plot feels very much like a cartoon bumped up a bit for a slightly older audience by the including of a few more swear words than you might expect. It never reaches anything deep, and the humor was fairly hit-or-miss for me. But I liked the cast of characters, and the dialogue was always enjoyable to listen to.

Things near the end head in a heavy handed direction that I wasn’t a super big fan of, but that’s alright. This was still a really fun time, with a fantastic soundtrack that deserves to be played. I can see why some consider this to be their GOTY even if it probably isn’t mine. Absolutely worth playing.

Sonic forces teases the audience with an interesting darker sonic story, cool character customiser and varied gameplay - all of which goes nowhere and fails completely- some of the most boring level design I have ever seen

Tons of personality. Love the art style. Was the best Spider-Man game until the PS4 one.
