Iconic.
That's the word i am going to use for this game.
You can see just how impressive it is and how seriously it was taken... Silent Hill is a true horror, truly an experience that made me feel scared, paranoid, mad, pleased, emotional and even happy.
Such amazing visuals, the camera angles can be spotted just at the start of the game, as the camera moves everytime you move to a different area or angle, or whatever. But it's not the moving that matters- it's how interesting it looks as we do it, for an example- the staircase angle in the lighthouse. It's THAT impressing that the whole game i was just shocked.
The characters are interesting, most of them are with truly depressing backrounds, but i think that as you get more and more into the game you can just see how in depth this game takes everything, and it's amazing. It truly brings people together to unravel every little bit of the game.
Amazing puzzles- from hard zodiac puzzles to literal connect the small dots puzzles that are pretty lighthearted. I loved every single puzzle there, even the most cryptic ones. They make you think out of the box, see new posibilities, make you think critically towards everything you see and this is what truly made me want to finish the game.
The enemies- meh.... they look cool, especially the bosses, but i was not a fan of how when you go to a new area 40 enemies that need 8 shots to die are jumping you all and cornening you. I felt pretty claustrophobic, but it wasn't so bad for me to dislike the game or feel tired of it. In the contraty- i felt like i want to play more.

This game just totally brings out nostalgia. I can't argue on the fact that everything this game has make me feel sad about what the recent silent hill games are. But... This one is special, and i will appreciate it strongly, everyday.

I played this on the Twitch channel, and a lot of sweet people joined, so make sure you come by and hang out with us for Silent Hill 2!!! :D

I just had to finish this amazing game once again just to analyze it more and get to appreciate it even more.
Finished it in 5 hours... my first playthrough was i think 9 hours, so this is an amazing progress! : >

Amazing game that i have wished to play for so, so long.
I am so glad i finally got to.

With an amazing atmosphere, game mechanics and creative defense system, Fatal Frame one shows us the story of a girl named Miku, who goes on a haunted mansion to find her misssing brother, Mafuyu.
As we get deeper and deeper into the story, we can see the fates of many of the people who have tried to concur the mansion spirits.

I love this game, simply because it really terrified me.
With the camera angles, the shaking of the controller, the music, the whole world building and weird sounds and ghost popping up, it just really impressed me.
What i didn't like about this game was how hard it was. It was so hard for me to beat a single ghost, without using 21093819283 camera lenses (of the good ones), so i always had to go to the checkpoints and just get more of the normal lens that the game gives you when you just go to camera that you can interract with to save your progress.
It was really fufcking hard, and for a first try to beat it, i gotta say, i truly thought it would be much easier, but it ended up irrating me a lot of times.
Even though i was in the verge of just putting the game away, i couldn't stop thinking about it because it was just so interesting to see the story of Miku and her progress, even though i gotta say it's not THIS interesting or impressive...
The voice acting is really messy and overall just super stone-ish, but I know it probably wasn't made on purpose like in the Silent Hill games.... But it didn't irrate me this bad.

I enjoyed it!
Nice one, now up to the second game of the fatal frame franchise!

A game that does not deserve to be compared this badly with Resident Evil
I mean, they are made by Capcom, fair, and they are quite similar, but come on, it's gory horror with dinasaurs! What's there not to like ? Except the literal tight corridors filled with dinos...
The characters are cool, i like the choices that you can make because it really makes you think ''damn, should i do some hard puzzles or just beat up dinosaurs? '', and i am all up for it !
I really liked it, for 1999 game the cutscenes (like the ending one that is like... prolly the only one there lmao) are pretty cool, just like with silent hill 1, it's admirable.
The voice acting is sweet, there is this jankyness to it that i particulary like, the combat is pretty cool, i like how detailed this game is.
Different bullets for different things, different heals for different things, there is even bleeding that isn't exactly the best thing but it is a good detailed touch.
Different key cards for different doors, even if you wonder around, if you pay enough attention it will be good enough, and i like it! You have to fight for the progress, and you have to really connect the dots quite well.
Also i started on nov 22, got a lot of progress in nov 23 and got stuck at the generator part because i missed i have to get a fingerprint sample from dr. kirk, so... if you don't connect the dots you see what happens, lol, i just now finished it on 4 dec after just watching guides of what i should do, even though it's the smallest detail that is mentioned in the game, lol. But that's just me being terrible at gaming.
But anyway, an enjoyable little geim, that i enjoyed more than Resident Evil, and i'm not saying that i hate resident evil, but come on... this one has so much small details to it that makes it so cool.

This game really is boring, but, i can't help but to like the idea of it.
An old lady is visiting her dead friends. The poem takes you through them. From a friend with cancer to a friends baby who died before it got the chance to live.
It leads to her remembering the past, and, insome case- dying on the bench

Pretty simple, no?
Sure, this game is an experiment, no biggy, but, why charge people with 5 dollars (just because ''it's deep'' ) for something that is so boring and slow.... Imagine if it was a short movie or something- and not a game.
I think Tale of Tales really doesn't do this well (even though i liked ''The path''), they for sure has their own style of doing games that have deeper meanings, but, at the same time, they are super bad at executing them.
The idea is creative, the execution is bad, just watch a video on youtube and don't spend 5 dollars like me, because i am about to go in the graveyard after this one, too. lol

Honestly, a really good game.
This is my second time playing it. The first time, well, i wasn't investigating much or doing anything in general, so my ending was pretty rough (no one almost stepped for me), but now that i have played it again, almost everyone except 2 people stepped for me!

What I am missing in those games is the ''artsy'' vibe, like, in the other Life is Strange games the main characters had journals, with cool stuff in it that shows us what the main character really feels and can do, but i think it was kind of dry in this game... (although i appreciate how in the journal you can see that Chen really loves music! : D).
I loved in the previous game how it was FULL with movie/other games references, like, in the other LiS games you could see what movies the characters are into, what games, and etc, and here... there were just some mentioned, and yet it felt kind of offputted in my opinion, of course T_T

The game suceeded in making me emotional, even from the start. The atmosphere is so... relaxing and nostalgic.
I started playing it at 7AM, and now, at 9 PM i finished it, and i just started the Steph DLC, because i just LOVE HER, wish we could see more of Ryan too, tho, he was definetly interesting.
The voice acting was amazing, the music was amazing, the characters- too. I felt bad for most of them, i wasn't even mad when they did something against me, i was just like ''Oh, okay, i understand, you are going through a lot'' ;-;

Justice is where humanity is :D
(also me and who (i picked steph lmao) )

Such an amazing survival horror game... i just can't process how impressive it is for it's year of release.
Haunting Ground was one of the most panicking, nerve-wracking, pleasing and beautiful experience i've had i awhile while playing a game.
There's so much into it, so let me actually get into why i enjoyed this game-
The soundtrack- every character has such a unique theme song. It makes you feel a certain way about a character and your reaction when you encounter them, for an example- Daniella. Her theme song totally depicts her ill personality and struggles, as she has a strong grudge against the main character, which is why her whole theme song hit every right place in my head, which made me just want to listen to the song over and over again because of how weird and yet unique it is.
Or Ricardio's - even if he wasn't MUCH of a strong threat, his theme song was literally screaming PANIC. It was how i felt when he was literally chasing us with a gun in his hands, just running at us at a high speed...
The lore- it made me want to look into it more. It's so disgusting and terrifying yet brave for the directors and writes to do something like this. I won't get into much details, but for me it was intriguing enough to make me want to play the game more even if I was struggling at times.
The setting- The Italian castle was really well furnitured. Nice atmosphere, beautiful design, yet some kind of claustrophobic feeling hinting at us that we are being watched or that there is a big threat coming for us.
The angles- i loved them. Everytime we move the angles were changing, which is a pretty common thing for games like these, but with this one is like the Silent Hill 1 type of camera movement that i noticed and was left pretty pleased by it. (By the way, let me tell you again, that i streamed this game on my twitch channel : MaryyHill, and right now i am currently streaming Silent Hill 1 also! Both are my first playthroughs, so it is quite exciting.)
The characters- good designs, amazing job at the voice acting (especially Daniella, LIKEE...), and they are quite memorable. You can feel a lot of things while getting into their stories and situation- like disgust, even empathy.
Hewie- i loved the whole mechanic with Hewie, even though sometimes it was really pissing me off at how disobedient he is even though i was always praising/petting him and giving him treats and food to regain stamina.
There was even a bug for me in the game where Hewie didn't let me progress into the game because he didn't want to open one particular door that he had to open, but, I got through this, so....
I like Hewie's character. He is not just some side kick, he is a big part of this game and out character is sometimes depending on Hewie A LOT, like on boss fights, and i enjoyed it. Watching Hewie biting someone's ass was the most satisfying things ever!
Plus let me just tell you how sweet his design is, him and Fiona are literally like angels, which was kind of hinted a lot of times in the game just by the vulnerability and innocence of Fiona's look, while Hewie was her ''guardian'' of some sort.

What i didn't exactly like is the sexualization in this game, also the fact that there were bugs that i had to get pissed at for hours, plus the whole Hewie thing, but overall the problems are not so big that i wouldn't rate it 5 stars. In fact, i think this may be a favourite game material. It totally is.

I never thought I would replay this game once again just to get a 5 second UFO ending, but I did, and i am so proud of that, it was totally worth it!

One of the best games i've ever played.
I love it, honestly, when i first played it i was super scared of some of the designs. Well, it came out 2011 and i was quite young then, so i guess this is a reason too.
But as i replay it everytime i could understand the story of Alice more and more, and it gets more enjoyable everytime.
Can't wait for Alice: Madness Returns 2!!!

Such a short yet sweet game.
I really enjoyed playing it on stream, the music on every level was cute, the bosses were super interesting and you really should observe more your surroundings and get some tactics on how to beat many of them, which is why this game was super enjoyable for me.
Little Kirby is so cute in this one, i just couldn't stop saying ''awhhh'' to the little pixel art frame animations, it's just too good.... TOO GOOD.
Gameboy graphics will never fail to suprise or make me feel good. (even though this is the fist GB game i have actually played ever... so...)

It was quite repetetive and nerve-wracking at times because of how the levels were made and how the layout was, plus i was playing GBC so... the colors were really sometimes making me feel nauseous, and it was getting quite scummy at some point, but the sweet ending was worth it, i loved it.
Plus the scene where Kirby is holding a sign saying ''Bye, Bye!'' ah, precious, he is THAT guy.

Right now i'm playing Dream Land 2 on stream, so if you want to check me out make sure to check me out on my Twitch: MaryyHill! :)))

A game that once i started it made me feel a total respect towards the silent hill team, even more after the first one.

When i started Silent Hill 2, i was left with an annoyed taste because of the whole apartments area, because it was so so so confusing for me, it didn't give me justice, i was about to actually drop the game, but i choose to be patient, and damn how happy i am for making this decision.
Such a beautiful, mysterious, tragic, eerie and depressing game. Filled with beautiful yet depressing scenery, amazing puzzles, flawless characters that i can say with no doubt i prefer more than the ones in silent hill 1, even though SH1 for me is also, flawless, cool combat, even though sometimes very very picky and risky, cool enemies, amazing bosses, fantastic soundtrack, good voice acting (for me, at least, it did set up the right atmosphere), and overall an amazing experience.
You can totally see how this game takes itself so seriously yet you have things like UFO ending and DOG endings, it's like back then the developers just knew how to keep the players busy and interested in playing the game multiple times only to get an avchievement, and I so so so so respect that.
This game just tutned out to be something way more amazing than i thought it would be.
Playing it on stream maybe made me look dumb, but in the end I had to much fun with it.

(Also i cried a bit when Mary was reading the poem in the ending, the voice acting is SO FUCKING GOOD, god, it actually made me tear up and feel even more depressed(

2003

This game is so good, but so fucking hard... trying to aim with a controller ripped my ass off so hard.

Another game that I finished on my stream, I was having a blast.
So far this is one of the hardest game I have ever played (plus Rule of Rose). It's filled with monsters, super tight corridors, MATH puzzles, which I totally died to, because I had to sit for half an hour just thinking what the hell I should do.... but outside of this the puzzles weren't very hard, some of them were actually pleasing to do.
What I didn't like are the enemies and where they were spawned most of the times, because I couldn't even run past a big Cancer without losing half of my health and having to restart or just use my heals, which in the end wasn't a very good option.
The monsters... only one of those had an actual cool design and it was easier to dodge, and it was the Closer. Even if they were big and rather threatening, I still managed to dodge them every time I came across them and still feel rather nervous around them.
The others were simply annoying. One was jumping, another one was just sprinting at me, blocking my way and slicing my ass, or there was one that was IMPOSSIBLE to dodge because they were flying AND had spinning knifes all over them. So with the enemies... it wasn't such great experience.
The ambience... it was alright. I can't say that I enjoy it more than SH1 and SH2, but it was good. It was nerve-wracking, stress indulging and good enough to make me go crazy.
I loved the small jumpscares throughout the game, I could totally see, that even if they made the game in a rush, they still took it seriously.
The characters- I liked them. They were not unbearable to look at or listen to, I liked most of them, and the other ones like the ''villains'', after I was enlighten on their backround i felt some kind of empathy towards them, and I like it.
The voice acting at times was cringe, but the ending totally got me because of how Heather's voice was breaking as she was mourning her loved one.
The mechanics- god, was I one of the few that had a problem with Heather literally falling out in every hole she sees? Like I would just GENTLY sneak past a whole, and she would be like 'Oh? A whole? LET ME JUST FALL'' which instantly was followed by her screaming and this dreadful ass game over screen which made me just want to bury myself to the ground and feel the guilt from only just falling into a hole.
The fighting was kiiiind of hard, but alright. If only Heather could dodge or maybe back away or SOMETHING in some preferable and good speed, and not only just sit there and walk around like a snail.
Boss fights.... Most of them were unbearable, I had to use safe states, like A LOT of them, a lot of bullets, a lot of heals... And the final boss totally got my ass just trying to beat it with one med kid, bad status and almost no bullets... Trust me, after I finished the boss fight I was BAWLING MY EYES OUT just out of excitement because I was finally finished with the game.
So the bosses weren't very appealing, the monsters weren't, the puzzles were fine, the ambience was fine, rather amazing, the characters were good, the voice acting was catchy and the backround to some characters, also, and the lore, so it's good enough for me to give it a 4 and start the infamous Silent Hill 4.
Check me out on Twitch if you would like to see me playing variety of games. I am doing a Silent Hill marathon, but for now I am going to get some rest from it and after 1-2 weeks I'll start the 4th installment. And yes, I am planning to play all the games, even the worst ones :>>(not the most recent one Ascesion tho, fuck this one)

I am not sure why I played the whole game, but the minigames were actually cachy ;00

Honestly, the designs of the women were actually pretty good.
I didn't like the protagonist- super clingy and pushy, like you can tell that he is an ''anti-hero'' even from the farting at all pls

This review contains spoilers

This game is so interesting if you think about what all the characters go through!
At first, when the game tells you to go on the path, you go there, but it tells you that you failed? Why so?
Because, when you go to the woods, you choose to face your own wolves. That's why i love this game- it shows us what kind of frustriations the character are going through while growing up- and when they are all grown-up ( just like Scarlet, that is a mature woman who can't live her life the way she wants, because she feels like a puppet on strings, just like the game shows us)
There are no jumpscares, but there is definetly an odd and eerie atmosphere that always makes us somewhat umcomfortable.
The soundtrack is fire!
This is definetly a really abstract game, and it's not for everyone, especially the quality and the controls of the game. But, i really loved it! :D
