I really liked what I played, until I hit a game breaking bug and the game became literally unplayable. I had to return it cause I couldn't get the game to load.
Wasn't expecting the DLC story to be as good as it was. With some genuinely good plot moments. Been a long time since I've cared about a Pokemon plot.
However this does run worse than the base game which I didn't think was possible, but it was still fun regardless.

The story starts off really strong, but the game often stops itself to show you side content killing any pace the story had built up to that moment.
The game is extremely fun and the character moments the series is known for are there. However the story telling in this one is extremely inconsistent.
Combat and the side content though? Phenomenal. The combat changes were enough to keep it fresh and fun the whole way through. The side content is even more unhinged, fun, and extremely emotional at times.
I can't wait to see what Yakuza 9 has in-store given how this game ends. I am on the edge of my seat in anticipation!!!!!!
