Star Wars: Jedi Survivor takes what was already great and made it amazing. Before I get to praising it the only two parts holding it down for me are one the performance issues and this made it hard to stream sessions of it, so bad in fact I decided to start recording content. And the second reason being the antagonist makes no sense to me, without getting into spoiler territory, he lacks a SOLID motive. And nothing he said really struck me as interesting or moving. Just DARK side. I might be biased or looking at it trough the wrong lens, but neither of these factors diminished my enjoyment of the game enough to hate the game. The story is an epic joy ride and I don’t think even that does it justice. We got our amazing Cal Kestis back and he’s better than ever. Along with the customization, but before I get into that, I need to stress the preem mocap work they did for all of these characters adding not just a better slam of graphics but not too much to make them look like real people. I don’t know in a world full of realistic looking people it’s nice to see that they didn’t go all in on making it look EXACTLY like a movie and more like a game that looks really pretty (don’t get me wrong I absolutely LOVE to realistic graphics and mocaps). The side characters get a better a deeper root in our story, instead of us running around as Cal meeting people on the way, we run around as Cal collecting friends and foes along the way almost in a gotta catch em all type way (not really I just wanted to throw that silly little haha in there). It’s a nice change of pace putting more of a personal toll on the story making it feel like you adventures made a difference in your experience. Now finally, the CUSTOMIZATION gohly if you read my last review you already know I loved that first set of customization now missing the Mantis customize option but the game all but makes up for it by giving us so much freedom in expression and customization with the lightsaber with Cal and with BD. Although I will say, what were they thinking with that BD animation, poor guy looks like he’s getting violated anytime you decide you want to revamp his looks. It might just be me but I am not A-ok with droid harassment. All jokes aside, Jedi Survivor does exactly what a sequel should do and does more (were you aware of the secret feature with the zip lines? You can slow or make yourself go faster, go try and find which buttons they are!). I definitely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys overarching stories

This game was made for any Star Wars fan that has gotten sorely f*cked over the last few years. I feel like any Star Wars fan can agree that this game came at a dire time. Star Wars content was dryer than the Savanna Dessert and this game came and filled us all with joy and comfort. Say what you will about how it looks and plays this was a pipe dream. The customization was pretty preem, the best example of this is the Mantis. I have no idea why, but the idea of customizing a spaceship has always just touched my brain the right way, therefore this game gets all of my love. Obviously I’m not just basing my opinion on the ship customization, there is a lot more to love about this game like the main character Cal Kestis. I can’t think of a character that imbodies the idea of a Fallen Jedi more than Cal. They really did do a good job at setting up this amazing character arc for him, he really struggles to come to terms with the fact that he needs to become a Jedi once again due to trauma. But eventually he comes to and realizes he is needed to help the galaxy. The side characters are a little sidetracked for the protagonist but it is not a game changer for you will be spending to much time having fun with the games near unlimited reach of exploration and amazing story. Definitely recommend this to any fellow Star Wars nerd.

This game, doesn’t even feel like a game. It feels like some out worldly force came to earth and blessed us with the reality altering video game. God of War Ragnarök took what we already LOVED about the first iteration, and made all of our jaws drop to the floor with the amazing advancements that Santa Monica made to the God of War series. I highly doubt it will ever be the same ever again. The gameplay is enough to make any casual on goer astonished at the amazing scenery awesome combat and INSANE boss battles. I can firmly say that God of War Ragnarök was the first game that I had genuine joy whenever that boss battle bar showed up on the top of my screen. Because almost every time it shows up, it’s either a blast or I actually have to use my brain holes in a nice and casual gaming way. The story is enough to keep us all questioning “what’s gonna happen” even though all of the events seem to be laid out in front of us. Even though we thought we got all of the character progression was done in the first game, we were sorely mistaken. Instead of mainly focusing on our two main protagonists, we get a wider view at not just the side characters but also the side characters’ side characters get depth and driving purposes. Even the characters we never get to meet get depth never before seen in any game. The interactive conversations alone were enough to incentivize world discovery for me. I recommend this game to anyone who has a sole.

God of War (2018) is jam-packed with action, emotion, stories, gods, mortals, and Mimir. This game takes the idea of having a god fantasy and throws it to the moon, for that motivation would insult what god of war is. This game is what gods WISH they were. Kratos goes from being that guy we all don’t want to become but ultimately see ourselves become, to being the DAD of BOI. And the most cherished character in all of PlayStation history. I feel if you are looking for an amazing character arc that spans almost decades, then look no further as we really do see Kratos come into terms with who he is and was. As well as Atreus, even with being a newly introduced character he still is awesome with solid motivations and even more of a solid backstory…or future?… I don’t know how one would look at it but he’s just as fun to see grow as Kratos. Both of these characters come together to make this Blockbuster of a video game. I recommend this game to ANYONE that values anything.

The Last of Us Part II took what was there and REVOLUTIONIZED the way we play games. With humans interacting with their fallen comrades and their poor puppies, we players got shoved into a whole new way to play games, with feelings. We definitely got a gory look at the world from the first game but this time around, there’s no holding back (with the only exception being the copy and paste of faces we see littered throughout our enemies) and we get to see it through the eyes of an “innocent” girl Ellie. The first game did a GREAT job at solidifying the fact that Ellie was our main character and Part II does that to us in another gut wrenching way and you know what, I’m all for it. Many people find the opening controversial to say the least but I find it the right call because of…guess what…emotion. We get thrown into Ellie’s shoes and sent on a revenge mission. I absolutely love this game and will defend it till the end of time. And I also recommend it to those who played the first.

This game was frickin epic. I absolutely needed this ps5 crack dream. The graphics alone were enough to make me empty my wallet for the game. Even though I have already played through the original story, this game does the original justice by remapping the way it looks, feels, and even sounds. All of the graphical enchantments aside this story had a very special place in my heart, it touches my heart in all of the right places. The story is driven by two characters who both learn equally valuable lessons along the way both stemming off of humanity. The simplicity of the gameplay makes it a very easy game to pick and even harder to put it back down. I remember my first playthrough I found myself telling myself “one more” a little more than I’m comfortable admitting to. I will say I incredibly biased when it comes to these games but that should not diminish this games amazing value. Joel and Ellie’s story has never felt more real and I’m here for it!! I definitely recommend this game to ANYONE who thoroughly enjoys video games, I promise it will be a journey you will never forget.
