Pokemon is a lot more fun when doing Nuzlockes. I didn't play with the same Pokemon clause; I have 5 Rattatas. I am 4 gyms in.

While the story might be pretty lackluster, it is a very charming game. The Pokeathelon and Voltorb Flip are just a couple of the small things added that make it fun to explore the game. It is a pretty campy story, so some of the childish things are fine, if a bit annoying.

Unfortunately, the combat can be pretty boring, as with most Pokemon games. It is typically just you spamming your most powerful move, or whatnot. This is where Nuzlockes come in! I am actually invested in the battles now, and each one has stakes. One of my mons died while training because I wasn't paying attention even. If you haven't tried a Nuzlocke, I would highly recommend. Especially with the newer games
