It's an alright game. The actually gameplay itself, there isn't much to say, it's fun. I like the new modes they added too, like Speed Golf and getting to play as your Mii's, the latter of which I felt was missing from Mario Tennis Aces. But the Story mode felt super rushed and repetitive, you can easily finish it within a day if you have the motivation and time like myself. But hey, it's still a Mario Sports game and I'm still a huge sucker for them, I'm glad Nintendo is starting to make these again!

Everything about this game is absolutely beautiful! I hope this is a look into what to expect for more potential titles for the R&C franchise. I also hope we get more of Rivet in the future too, because she was a wonderful addition to the franchise. From what they advertise in this game all the way into the end credits it seems like they could utilize her more and Insomniac know how to develop great titles, so maybe that's a good sign. Maybe for a future title that could be the start of looking into what happened to the Lombax species and she can tag along?

Either way, I'm getting off topic, the game is fantastic! If you're lucky enough to snag a PS5, definitely grab this for one of your first games, it's another one of the many games that show off how advanced that console it!

This game....exists? I mean, I do like the idea of the Pokemon evolving in battle, that was pretty neat, I love the way the Pokemon look in a graphical sense. But when you get down to it, it's literally just League of Legends but with Pokemon, take that however you will. But hey, at least the game's free so you don't have to waste any money on it.

It's pretty alright as far as license games go. It's nothing special by any means but it's still fun.

I remembered playing Pokémon Diamond when I was younger and I had a lot of fun with it. When I was able to snag a copy of this game I wanted to relive the experience of playing the 4th gen of Pokémon again, especially since the remakes are going out this year. After finishing this, it reminded me that I really enjoyed this particular generation of Pokémon! I really love a lot of the Pokémon that were introduced in this gen, the gym leaders were fun challenges, love the characters, especially the Champion (who I won't say because of spoilers), it felt super nostalgic playing a Gen 4 Pokémon game! The only big issues I had were that when you wanna save the game, it can be long, like REALLY long. Also, not gonna lie, because of the huge difficulty spike when getting to the Elite 4 and the Champion, I spent too much time level grinding to get at a descent level to where I can finish the game. At that point, I will admit, I was a little spent. That's just about it though, otherwise I'd easily say it's one of, if not one of the overall best Pokémon games. So if you're new to Pokémon this would be a good way to get into it.

I remember owning this game when I was a kid, but I never recalled finishing it. So I decided to pop it in for the first time in a REALLY long time. It's fun....for the most part. I'll admit it's genuinely fun for a good chunk of the time, I do enjoy how the game looks at the time, they utilize the DS screen a lot while also giving the player the options to use the control stick and buttons, you have to use a lot of strategy to figure out how to capture certain Pokemon and get through the levels. However the thing that drags the game is easily how bullshit how hard some of the Pokemon are to catch. There were several times where the Pokemon are too fast, move way too much, and there's more than one Pokemon getting in your way. Sometimes it's understandable how difficult some Pokemon are to capture, like say at the end of the level, but for the most part there are just some Pokemon that are irritating to deal with. The thing that drives me up the wall is how often some, not all, of the Pokemon that will get to the edges of the DS screen making it literally impossible to capture them. That happened way too often. But for the most part it's still a alright game. I wouldn't say it's anywhere close to some of the best Pokemon games, but it's still fun. I hear there are more Pokemon Ranger games that were released that I was not aware of, but I hope they got better and fixed some of these issues.

Aside from a few aggravating points (mainly near the end), man, this is still a fun game! It's still one of my favorite games and one of my favorite 3D platformers several years later after playing it again for the first time in ages. It's so surreal how different this game is compared to the first game. How dark and even terrifying some aspects of the game are, the atmosphere can be cheerful and bright but also dark, grim and scary, it's surreal! Definitely a must-play for anyone who wants to get into the Rayman series!

As a heads up, apparently the rating can't change per log so the overall rating for the PS1 rating that I would give it is a 3 out of 5.

Lemme just say for the record that I really love Rayman 2, heck, I just recently completed a recent playthrough for the copy I have had ever since I was a kid, for the N64, for the first time in a while. So I went into the PS1 version completely blind, as I got further into the game I was more so fascinated by how much stuff was cut from this version. The levels are not only shorter, but also feel smaller, the visuals look rough, all the bonus minigames are taken away, heck they even got rid of two levels completely, it's pretty astonishing. I imagine this was because the PS1 discs had more limits compared to the other versions of the game, so I can't really fault the developers for any of these changes. I wouldn't say it's entirely bad, I still have fun with this version and in its defense there are a few things this version did better than at least the N64, but I do think other changes they did make, like having full-fledged voice acting among many other things, wasn't worth the cuts and the things that this is better at are, well like I said, very few. So if I were to recommend one over the others, I'd say go with the N64 and even the PS2 versions over this one (can't say anything about the Dreamcast version since I haven't played that one). Out of all the console versions of this game, it's easily the weakest one.

For reference, the N64 version would get a 4.5 out of 5 while the PS1 version gets a 3 out of 5.

A classic case of “first installment syndrome”.

I will say that the characters that were in the game are great, even ones like Plum and Maple, its got a soothing ost, the golf courses are really good and creative, especially Mario Star, and I gotta say, particularly love the mini-golf courses (that should’ve been something other Mario Golf games did more often). However, again, definitely can tell it’s the first Mario Golf game. It’s incredibly hard to get a proper idea of where you’re hitting the ball, the wind can be too powerful than given, some of the actual characters can be unbalanced, and the enemy AI is absolute BS to deal with. Trust me when I saw it was harder than it should be to do the VS matches. It’s not horrendous, but it’s also not the best. It’s right in the middle of being “meh” or “mediocre”.

As a side note: it’s a Mario game and Mario isn’t even playable at the beginning of the game? Let alone one of the last characters you need to unlock? What kind on nonsensical nonsense is this?!

I like the approach this version of Rayman 2 took. Unlike the PS1 version, I love the way they expanded on this version of the game by giving it an open world to explore to get to the levels, the visuals look fantastic during the time, and the levels simultaneously look about the same and yet make them feel bigger and still manage to be fun. The other additions like the unlock-able minigames, the new boss battles, the attack upgrades also provide something new that didn't feel unnecessary to somewhat separate it from the other versions of the game. However, when I replay this game there are a couple of times where the game get be a little hit detection sensitive and buggy as hell. Particularly with the walking shell parts of the game. I just feel like there are times where I was hit and had to respawn at my next checkpoint even though it looked like something barely hit me or didn't hit me at all. Also if you thought the walking shell stages were janky before, man, they feel super slippery in this version of the game. I lost count of times the game would freak out on me and acted as if I was flung around like a rag doll for just barely touching anything during those parts of the game. Same goes for the ending of the game, which I won't say why because of spoilers. There are also times where the camera would not cooperate too. But overall still a great version of the game. I still prefer the N64 version personally, but if you can't go for that, this is a better alternative than the PS1 version imo.

You ever have a game emotionally wreck you throughout almost the whole game? Yeah, that was my experience while playing this, and it was worth every single minute! Easily one of the best JRPG's I've ever played with phenomenal performances, breath taking visuals, lots of quests to keep you occupied while not taking away from the story, it was one hell of a ride! Highly recommended!

For someone who has never finished Undertale, I quite like this a lot! Great characters, fun combat, and man, the emotional moments and that ending...they got me trippin'.

Also that end credits music...it leads to a bunch of tears in your eyes, man.

This chapter is as amazing as the first and I love the new characters they included!

Also if the ending's are all gonna be like one and the one from the previous chapter, I don't know if I'll be able to handle it. Either way, can't wait for the new chapter's to drop!

For the longest time I heard nothing but great things about this game, especially when at one point of time you couldn't have been able to play this game. Now that I have played it, I gotta say, I was really underwhelmed. I will say that the game has a fantastic art style and the soundtrack is great, but the rest of the game I didn't really care for. I personally found it really obnoxious for how often you had to level grind just to get some descent fighting moves and even to level up your stats. By the 2nd boss battle, I really wanted to quit, but I'm glad I didn't. I'm at least glad I made it to the end so I can form a proper opinion on it, but by the final level/boss, I seriously just wanted to be done with this game. I'm not saying it's a horrible game by any means, but it's just not for me.
