Malt's Lv. 6 | Completed Chapters 1 and 2 on first sitting. This is a really unique game. I was expecting it to be some sort of Advance Wars Roguelike, but that's very much not what it is. I can't say I have much love for these characters (and I would and did let that child die), but the game has already solid mechanical depth in the early stages and plenty of great resource and time management at its core. Had this game on my wishlist for so long, waiting on a sale, and so glad to see it on Game Pass. What is it with these Action RPGs that can't seem to tell their story well? There's a hidden piece of text that's just someone screaming "AHHHHHHH", and the title of the speaker is "Woman Who Learns The Truth". What in the world. It's a weird one, but I'm interested to see where it goes from here. And at least I'm getting an official port of Valkyrie Profile with it. Good stuff. |

Love Rean doubling down on working on his swordsmanship and the small conflict between him and Laura in this chapter is some pretty tight character work. |

Unlocked Saffron's second kit, which honestly helped slow the game down a little bit (I suppose that's a literal statement), by taking away the machine gun and focusing on using the deck. Still can't quite get past the second area in a run yet, but really feeling myself getting better at it. Very cool game. |
