In my opinion this game is just as good as the 2018 game, I really enjoyed the gameplay, probably the most satisfying a controller has felt in my hand. The web-slinging was amazing and the combat felt incredible, much better traversal and combat than the 2018 game. On the other hand, the 2018 game had a far superior story, whilst I loved the characters in Miles Morales aside from Miles and Aaron they felt kind of surface level. But the side quests in this game were far better and more engaging, made clean up much less tedious.

Really great game, gameplay wise I enjoyed it to a 10/10 standard, swinging around the city and the fluid almost Arkham-like combat jumping from one enemy to another was incredibly satisfying. Furthermore, the game's story was really compelling, especially the final mission and I really enjoyed watching Peter interact with MJ, Miles, May, Otto, Li, Felicia and so many others.

My criticisms come in the form of the games side quests and missions being incredibly repetitive and tedious, most missions are just show up, beat some guys, move to the next target. Also the boss battles, aside from the two main villains in this game, were fairly underwhelming I would've liked to have more one on ones with the iconic villains.
