I used to think Helldivers 2 was one of the greatest co-op experiences of the last several years, but the ebb and flow of the game feeling incredible to frequently not working makes me sad. I realized about 10% of my playtime has been waiting for the servers to work, and I've lost several hours of progress to the game suddenly kicking me out of a solo mission. When this game works, it feels pretty good, and it still can be a fantastic co-op experience, but bugs, crashes, and connection issues are so common that Helldivers 2 usually leaves me with a sense of sadness.
