From what I heard, it's kind of a wonder this game actually got released. I'm incredibly happy it did, though, because it immediately improves on all the failings of the original and thensome. The story is more heartfelt (not that I took issue with the previous in any way), and it addresses more of the failings the first had in regards to trauma, mental health issues, and how to address them. Not that there aren't some levels that miss, but the game is rarely lesser for it. One of the best platformers I've played.
Some of the more memorable writing I've seen in a game, and with an art direction I adore. Such entertaining theming, the dialogue, the voiceacting, all on point. The worst part is the gameplay, but it still managed to be special.
I also harbor a vendetta for the fact I 100%'d it (bad idea), and the game bugged, permanently removing figments without reflecting them in my rank. No chance in hell I'm doing the punch test again just to have it reflected officially.

Ughhhhh
It's fine, there's some good stuff, but I've only soured more on it over time. Solid gunplay, but the characters are mostly bland. Moze probably has the best design for her action skill and the rest feel pretty generic. Nothing I can say that hasn't been said already. DLC was fun, it at least improved on the flaws of the base mostly.
