I don't give out scores cause tbh I'm a dumbass and 90% of my scores would land between 3.5-4.5.
Might write some reviews tho.

When I first saw Animal Well get announced I didn't expect it to be more than a cute puzzle platformer, but now having beaten it, it turned out to be one of the best metroidvanias I've ever played.
The puzzles are great, they're not too easy requiring a good amount of thinking at times, but they never reach a frustrating level that some of the other games in the genre struggle with. The atmosphere is amazing, the game manages to be both cozy and quite unsettling while keeping a cohesive tone. What really surprised me was the lack of combat in the game, many metroidvanias put a lot of emphasis on it, meanwhile in Animal Well all enemy encounters are about outsmarting your enemies rather than direct confrontation and I found that to be extremely refreshing.
Simply put, Animal Well is a superb metroidvania, I can't wait to see more from Billy Basso and Bigmode respectively.

THE DRAGON ENGINE COMBAT IS FUN AND I'M TIRED OF PRETENDING IT'S NOT

Now that we have the obligatory hot take out of the way I gotta say that Yakuza 6 impressed me more than I was expecting. It's smaller scope both in gameplay and story was actually pretty refreshing after 5. I absolutely loved the look and feel of Onomichi, probably my favorite town in the franchise. The gameplay is really solid, but due to being the first game on the Dragon Engine it does have way more jank than usual, still I didn't find it nearly as bad as some people have said, Yakuza 3 still had way less enjoyable combat imo. The story is solid, I loved all the new characters, but I still feel pretty conflicted about the ending, it's not bad but it just feels... idk really weird. I wonder if I'd felt any different about it if I played the game on release where it was made out to be the end of Kiryu's story as opposed to now where it's very clear that's not the case.
Yakuza 6 is definitely a step down from 5 in my opinion, but like pretty much all the other games in the series it's a really good time.

Before starting my FFXIV journey I kept hearing how A Realm Reborn is really not that great and you just have to get through it to reach the parts where the game gets actually good, but tbh I disagree, I had a lot of fun playing through ARR. Is it the best MMO experience possible? LOL not even close, the beginning especially is way too slow and very formulaic. Were it not for my friends I would probably stop playing after just a few hours, but the game does get way better later and I had a lot of fun moving forward. If this is the rock bottom of FFXIV then I cannot wait for what the game has in stock.
