It's everything a remake should be. It fixes a lot of what didn't work about the original (which wasn't a lot), gets a real shiny face-lift, and manages to keep both casual and hardcore fans on their feet.

I still prefer RE2, but i like the more puzzle solving nature of the game and the looming threat of Mr X.

Hoping they do RE1 remake and Code Veronica X remake before they do RE5!

My favorite of the series so far! Heck of a lot of fun!

Mr. Zurkon is the GOAT

Harmless fee hours. Nothing special, but worth playing on PS+

My first thought was no game has ever needed a remaster more, given the games poor framerate, dated visuals, and clunky gameplay.

My final thought is I'm not sure there's enough going on from a story standpoint that I'd even want to play a remaster.

2020

I'm sure the game was atrocious on launch, but it seems fixed now as I had no issues.

That being said, it's a pretty looking, very generic shooter. It's super short, so doesn't really overstay its welcome

I loved when these games were this simple. Doesn't quite have the charm that Star Wars did though

Ibfelt the same now as I did at launch. It's a good story and a great world, but with the split time between characters, I just didn't latch on to or invest in any of them

I'm not much a fan of the original, but this one is a generic shooter that isn't scary despite its premise and has a pretty terrible ending.

It's great, but with the three protagonist split, I don't know that I really connected with any of them

It's mildly fun, but very un-scary and an absolute F-Tier story and characters.

It's very entertaining, but the lack of clarity in conclusions is pretty mind-boggling.

I didn't care for the story outside of the individual cases and definitely has its issues in narrative both small and large scale.

The exorcism scene is one of the funniest things I have ever played!

Riveting. Pretty lackluster ending and maybe a bit too long of a game.

I'm not a Far Cry fan in general, but a friend recommended this one in particular. It's got a lot of fun, but I think speaks volumes that it's 3 hour campaign felt entirely too long (and I didn't even do any side quests).

This game rules so hard. It allows for so many different styles of play while also providing a quality story!
