amazing game but pretty boring open world. i dont mean that its poorly made, its just incredibly static. little to no random encounters. every single encounter you have in this game is scripted to happen at that location, every single playthrough. you will always find the same caravan fight here, the same fiends there.

overall its my favorite fallout but it still leaves a lot to be desired.

Incredible narrative, incredible villain, fun cast of characters that's all really hurt by its poor pacing. It has by far the most padding of any RGG game and some characters aren't fleshed out enough, mainly Higashi. It also had some very... strange parts which made me incredibly uncomfortable in a way I don't think the writers intended at all, I think they intended it very much the other way.

I love Saori though, messy hair women? awesome. gameplay is also some of the best in the franchise

Almost perfect, but still incredibly good. To start with my only real complaint is that Ichibans side of the narrative is not the same quality of Kiryu's side. It's not bad, far from it, you can just tell the narrative team had their priorities and that was with Kiryu.

Onto the good, so everything else. This is a celebration of the series for those that have played the rest of the series. This isn't to say that you can't come in playing only 7, but you will not enjoy it nearly as much. This is very much a Kiryu focused game and the finale to his arc, all of his failures, regrets, and learning how to live again after being broken down to his core. I'm not going to go into too many spoilers other than it's a beautiful game with a beautiful message.
