It's short and quirky and can be developed into something really good methinks

To preface I have never played the original Half-Life so this was my first jump into this universe and I was intrigued. I enjoyed the beginning of the game and the end of the game but I found the middle of the game quite boring. It felt like there was a lot of padding with the gunfights and fighting the military was just annoying at times. I kept going though as I was enjoying the story being told but there were points where I genuinely wanted to stop.
To give credit where credit is due the late game like I said is quite good. The traversal through Xen is fun and the puzzles are engaging as well as the new enemies it's just sad that by that point I was sort of just waiting for the game to end as I really didn't enjoy the middle section.

All in all, this was a nice game but I feel it could've used some refining but maybe I just didn't get it. Who knows.

I have a lot to say about this game.

FNAF: Security Breach is a very difficult game to talk about due to so many things being wrong with it. It's a game that when I initially started playing it I did not think I would give this a good score at all. I was criticising it a lot and making fun of it and, while I still do that now, I've definitely had a change of heard after finishing the game. From the getgo I set out to finish this entire game and get each ending, all 6 of them. I have since done that and feel I can truly convey my feelings towards this game.

This game is inherently not a very fun one. I did not really enjoy playing it from start to finish. There were some really cool moments but those only made me want more; they only made me think "I wish more of the game was like this" but I persevered. Why, you may ask? It was probably because this was a FNAF game, and I've always loved the series and uncovering all there is to see.

This is what leads me to my second major point. While this game isn't inherently fun to play and I could spend all day saying what I didn't enjoy about the game and how the game is incredibly buggy, it doesn't tell you where to go or what to do at times and how easily it is to get lost in this maze of an establishment, I don't want to. This game has so much heart put into it and it had and I suppose still has so much potential. Every aspect of this game from the writing, to the voice acting, to the designs of everything. You can tell that this game was made by people who love this franchise and wanted to do it justice. It was the characters and story that made me continue to play and that wasn't just due to it being a FNAF game. I absolutely adore Glamrock Freddy and his supportiveness throughout the game and there were points I felt genuinely heartbroken watching (I won't get into any spoilers here). There is so much love in this game and I can't fault it for that. I want to see more of this world, more of these characters; I want to see more of Glam Freddy, more of Vanessa, more of Vanny. I'm fascinated by them all even if the game itself wasn't all that fun to play.
From a story aspect this game is pretty competent and I really, really enjoyed watching it unravel, especially having done my best to avoid all spoilers so every turn was a surprise.

FNAF: Security Breach is a game that is difficult to recommend in any form as I don't really recommend playing through it as it can be a complete slog and can be incredibly annoying and tedious and just outright not fun getting to the point I dreaded to play it, but I also don't really recommend watching someone else play it as it spoils that feeling of experiencing it all firsthand; seeing it unfold before your own eyes and feeling truly connected to these characters because you're the one controlling them. So do as you will with this game; if you want to play through it I would recommend using a guide or walkthrough of sorts as the game really does tell you nothing, or you can watch someone else play through the game.
