Fun little game, a lot of silly bits but good fun. Got a little tired of the backtracking and platforming late game, otherwise great and didn't overstay its welcome for the most part! 4 frogs out of 5

Best gameplay in the series for me, loved it entirely. TRC made running around an absolute blast. Music is as good as always. Writing had some great moments, but probably the weakest entry in awhile outside of that.

Pretty funny game overall, get to date Majima which was hilarious, fun to go back through collecting everything. Highly recommend

Lost interest for now, will return later to finish. Beautiful game, good story/cast, mixed on the gameplay and quite a few other tidbits such as sidequests/slow movement, etc.

Good skits, decent character interaction, combat is still fun but nothing new gameplay-wise. Reuses lots of the same content, revisiting same locations, and the quests were around 3/4ths filler. Overpriced for what it is, not bad to nab on sale though

Fun game overall, some nitpicks: Wish there was more enemy variety, less but larger encounters. Higher difficulty would have been nice, any kind of hard mode. Dungeon variety was one of my biggest gripes. Trickster should have been a pawn accessible vocation, not very fun for an Arisen imo. Story could have been waaay better, feels like it was rushed.

Pros: Exploration is still great, and even better than the first game. Gameplay was improved on compared to the first game for me, vocations as a whole were a blast. Decent spread of towns, though I wish a few had a reason to revisit. Overall still had the DD appeal.

I may update this rating after/if the eventual expansion DLC comes out, in case it changes base game any like Dark Arisen.

Story was whatever to me, but for the most part I liked the characters, and a good chunk of supports. Gameplay is pretty great, looking forward to getting back to Conquest. Also loved the OST.

Has nailed pretty much everything I wanted from it. Each character got necessary buffs from remake, or just being newly introduced play fantastically and uniquely with their own kits. OST is beyond incredible. The world was beautiful, and loved the detail they added to it. Story beats were well done, and I'm definitely intrigued with the final part.

If I had any complaints it's that a few sections that were entirely too long IMO and could have definitely been shorter. Also Chadley please shut up, and #saveMAI from the jerk

Five Jill Sandwiches out of Five. Highly recommend checking out the randomizer for replays, absolute blast

Bumpbumpitybump! Fun game for its time ,and pretty unique! But I played Chronicles+ first, and enjoyed it immensely more, won't ever play this one again, but it was fun to try. Fantastic ost!

Gameplay: Unique ideas that I haven't seen in the series yet - learning spells over time with no durability, and skills being attached to weps, found that a pretty fun deviation. Post game I haven't done yet, but another +. Attack animations as usual are amazing. Perma stat buffs / res pools in each chars path also a nice addition. If I have to pick out a con with the gameplay, it would be the maps. Most are okay enough, but the bad ones are baaaad, and I wouldn't put a single map amongst my favorites in this series. A lighter con would be the convoy having limited item space, man this frustrated me at times. I had to waste a lot of food cus I ended up hitting the cap too often, ended up just selling excess, but also leads back to fatigue being kinda weird. Rarely ever needed to bother with it, only a few times in the longer dungeons, but they had fountains to fix that.

Music: OST overall is pretty good standard FE stuff, with some high quality pieces tossed throughout. Act 4 world map and final map get special mentions from me

Visuals: Art was fantastic across the board, characters, to the different portraits, to dungeons/towns on explorations and backgrounds. Gushed about it during most of my run.

Dialogue/cast/story: Story is decent, wouldnt' go out of my way to gush about it. The dialogue and cast though are fantastic, so many little convos and lines to find. Adding in the prisms for extra scenes made it a joy when finding them, better reward than anything else from the battles lol. Cheers to Mae for cracking me up most of the time, Valbar for straight up wholesome bro, and the duo for being my favorite pairing.

Second Castlevania I've finished, first being SOTN. Pretty great overall, similar feelings to SOTN. Pacing felt better across the board, fun souls to play around with, good music, all around a good time

Handles everything that I wanted from a remake rather perfectly. Nails the atmosphere, fluid REmake style combat while keeping what was unique about most enemies from the original. Locations were still there, but changed up enough to feel new and refreshing.

On topic of gameplay, adding in parry mechanics made it an absolute blast, and bumped this up to one of my favorite to play RE's to date. It doesn't replace the original at all, but exists alongside it as a peak RE title for me. Well done Capcom, 5/5 Leon pancakes from me.

The game gets a 5/5 from me, but this version in particular nets a 4.5.

Gameplay is fantastic but suffers from joycon drift and super sensitivity(if you co-op, which I wanted to have the closest experience possible to OG) Turning down joycon sensitivity helped tremendously, but I still had to recalibrate occasionally, however after figuring this out I ended up having a complete blast with it.

Music is peak, not much else to be said that the entire OST is a banger, and going on my playlists for awhile.

Love the artstyle, animations were goodstuff, loved to see the three diff ults among each character.

Story caught me a few chapters in, and I got sucked in enough that I had to see the secret reports to have them holes filled in, loved every bit of it. Another Day was peak hilarity and one of my favorite parts of the game lol

One detail I really enjoyed were brand influences, loved to see everything flowing together for combat with the pins/threads, can't think of many or any games that do that, and it works perfectly here.

All in all, loved every bit of the game. Switch version is a little wacky with controls, which makes me wanna try the DS version eventually, but it ended up being a great time, highly recommend

Enemy design and OST among the most notable cus who thought of a dog head shooting lasers lmao, combat being mostly automatic is weird but you get some control at least - though the AI sucks at moving around. ALL OF YOUR GEAR BUT WEAPONS BREAKING CAN SUCK SO MUCH, especially when no durability to see it? as far as i could tell. Getting new gear is fine, not listing the inn(the only shop) on the map also sucks. Magic being confusing is pain, story is very confusing in the SNES version, I imagine it makes more sense on PC but wth at half of it here lol.

Aside from this being the version our group decided to play, I specifically wanted to finish the SNES version to redeem 5 year old me who couldn't beat it as a kid, glad I finally did so, but the pain holds up
