Extremely fun top down shooter from 1998 that brings to life that feeling of playing with plastic army men on your kitchen table and making made up battles.

A game many were excited for with a star studded cast to boot. Unfortunately the game tries to hard to stand out and ends up being a Hollywood horror show as it throws you into a group of characters you barely even care about. There are a few moments that are quite great for acting but other than the high definition action and explosions this game fails to deliver.

Soft, beautiful, mysterious game which is extremely fun with friends. Build a base on any planet and mine resources to unlock secrets throughout the solar system. My only gripe with it is that the enemies are these plant-type enemies so the survival aspect isn't that threatening.

A tech demo to showcase the Wii's controller abilities with the Wii sensor bar. Fun but rather bland and short.

One of the greatest PC shooters to date, has great and unforgiving gun-play. Only downside is it is solely multiplayer and you are at the whim of your fellow random teammates.

For what it's worth, Destiny has created the best MMO looter shooter there is to date but it suffers from reliance on cooperative game modes and a story that is like Charlie from It's Always Sunny talking about Pepe Silvia. Gunplay is fantastic but the repeated content wipes that Bungie has employed over the years really makes it hard to keep coming back (not to mention the content PAY WALLS).

Great re-imagining of the Zelda series with Minish Cap. The classical Legend of Zelda story we love with small surprises and side-quests littered about the in-game world. Find a kinstone and search for someone who has a matching one to unlock secrets across Hyrule!

2013

Although the concept of survive and struggle against not only zombies but other players as well, DayZ actually failed technically across the board as the developers struggled to create a well sounding game that could be built upon with future updates. Even after ten years the game is only starting to come together to become something playable and long while.

Arguably one of the best Super Mario games to date. Amazing soundtrack with stunning visuals for it's time which hold up after so many years. The vibrant colors and different locale that Mario visits throughout the game make this one hard to forget. Not to mention the difficulty setting is pitch just perfect for any seasoned player to have a challenge.

If not the best, then one of the best story telling games to ever come out. The tale of Nathan Drake and his last big adventure is visually and technically outstanding as you join Nathan through one of his most dangerous escapades to date. Fantastic sound track that really gives you Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Caribbean vibes. A must play for anyone who can get their hands on it.

A masterful game that includes both Sapphire and Ruby inside of it, Pokemon Emerald Version is the apex Pokemon game of it's generation. Showcasing a wide variety of normal and legendary Pokemon which could be utilized in a variety of ways to beat the Elite Four and become Champion of the Hoenn region.

Beautiful game that "breathes" fresh air into the Legend of Zelda series. No one expected an open-world Zelda game but it becomes the best decision Nintendo has ever made. The replay value alone is through the roof as every inch of the expansive map has some secret or challenge to offer.

Great re-telling of the 2000's movie "Gladiator" starring Russell Crow, following a betrayed Roman General on his path of revenge against those who wronged him.

A hidden gem, a game many people randomly stumbled upon in 2004 while unboxing their PlayStation 2's. Amazing soundtrack and a wacky take on joystick game play that left players wanting more. Unfortunately due to the times the multiplayer was rather two-dimensional but otherwise an amazing game with a funny story line to boot.

At the height of Xbox and PlayStation , Modern Warfare 2 (2009) was one of few games that revolutionized the multiplayer experience for a generation of kids. Beautiful gun play and dangerous voice chat lobbies where true l3g3ndz were born. This entry in the Call of Duty franchise stands tall with only a few others.
