It's beautiful.
I dont think there can ever be a game like Journey, as the story is almost personally written by you.
Its a game that leaves you as much room to interpretation as it can, so your connections with other players through its amazingly used multiplayer functions makes every moment more impactful.

Maybe I wasnt the targe audience (which is perfectly fair), but this game was a drag to go through.
So many days of the game were just waiting for something interesting to happen, making the game just a big race to the checkpoints.
I also didnt see the reasons why the story was supposedly so emotional. I didnt care what would happen to the foxes, the humans or anything of the sort. Nothing felt really impactful or, well, sad.

Hard as nails, controls as smooth as silk.
You are truly doing a disservice to yourself if you are actively avoiding this game. Biggest critique is that the game has some forced platforming sections and hid one of the best boss fights after a tedious shoot-em-up section that dragged till the end of time.

Meh.
The only thing that this game saves is its halfway interesting story.
The gameplay is absolutely boring, with the only interesting thing being the flashlight (which sadly turned into more of a hinderance rather than a challenge).
The levels are really pretty corridors with some "intense action scenes". You basically just walk forward, do that little puzzle or combat sequence and then walk to the next point till you get to the next cutscene.

Its a Spike Chunsoft game. The story gives you a lot of questions that leaves you questioning a lot of the subplots until it begins to twist back into itself to get all the answers.
The puzzle rooms are mostly self explanatory, but the repetition on some can be a bit annoying. The rest of the gameplay is generally just a VN with a bit of simple Point-N-Click to find some clue.
Overall, if you like Spike Chunsoft games, then you'll like this one.

They somehow course corrected this game so hard, that it became worse than the title it was supposed to build on.
Everything feels worse: the movement, the camera, the combat, the level design.
It doesnt feel as free as the original, nor does the open world add to the free running. Its busy work, forced combat and a loss of identity.

Have you ever wanted to play a Saturday Morning Cartoon?
Then I got the right for you!
Nice rhythm based combat with a consistent music theme with nicely designed bosses with an amazing OST (fitting for a game designed around music).
The game would've been way better as a boss rush rather than a platformer. The actual levels of the game are super uninteresting and more of a "means of an end" rather than an addition.

An Experience worth having.
It is you, the world and what you think the meaning of it all is. On the surface, it is a giant boss rush with a lot of downtime, yet it feels like it is more. Every colossi you slay, the more it gives you the feeling of killing the last being of a majestic species for someone you hold dearly. It is...special.
