An absolute treat of a game, this little gem is seemingly underappreciated in gaming.

It's the closest I've felt to a game matching what I loved about XCOM but with it's own thing going for it. The stories are investing and sometimes the most unexpected things can happen.

pretty disappointing. the concept of a hack-like in first person sounds so interesting; the graphics look amazing, the interface is cozy, etc etc etc. i just can't help but feel that the game's difficulty and level generation was never given proper consideration. instead of really trying to work though how a game like nethack might translate into 3D, the devs here seemed content with vapidly mirroring as much content and as many mechanics as they could, with no consideration for player experience.

it's still an impressive project, but the final product is certainly nothing to write home about.

overwhelmed right now, having just finished the game. i hope to find more words eventually but this is the great outstanding narrative achievement of the year. a veritable landmark entry in a medium still deeply facile, at least in the realm of studio output. a crash course in history and analysis and what haunting really is. stunned, just stunned.

Genuinely well-written, and that's not with the caveat of "for a children's game".
