A supremely well done Metroidvania about grief and dealing with its affects. Story is presented immaculately well (I don’t think making it a frame story thing was necessary but ok), and the gameplay is entertaining. The moon mask kinda makes the Sun mask irrelevant until you can upgrade it tho. It’s just short and sweet enough to where I think it gets a hearty recommendation.

Look, I don’t give a shit about anything in here but the titan fight. And yeah, it’s a good ass titan fight. Worth being left out base game and paying extra for? Ehhhh idk, but still fun. The fact that it’s a whole ass baby you’re fighting and that they explain away the lack of melanin in the base game with “yeah they was behind a magic curtain” is so funny. Makes the DLC worth it honestly for those twists alone.

Genuinely would've been an amazing time if the PSVR was at all decent. The controller tracking is just god awful on the Dualshock 4 and the overreliance on the motion control was impossible to work with. I went from wanting to get the platinum on this because I loved Playroom so much, to just clawing my way to the end. And it sucks, because if it weren't for that then the game would be amazing. Astro is so fun to control. I love this little guy. I really tried to put in the time, I 100%ed the first 2 worlds, but man I just can't handle the motion controls. I hope that new rumored Astro game is not a VR2 game.

It's always the worst feeling whenever you play something that everyone else likes...and you just don't get it. All I ever hear anyone say is "Oh, Explorers of Sky is so good, it's beautiful, you'll love it so much" and man...really man? People really love this game for it's story and uh. This shit is not great man. The first half just doesn't matter, and when the story finally starts going places, it's predictable and uninteresting. The only part where I felt anything was the ending which, I will admit, is extremely well done. The characters are all just annoying or stock generic characters (besides Grovyle, I liked Grovyle) and it just really didn't move me a ton. I guess it does some cool time travel stuff? maybe? I feel like most people judge it exclusively off of the end, which is amazing in a vacuum, but even then SPOILERS THE MC COMES BACK SO WHO CARES? The gameplay is even worse. There is nothing going on here. Mystery Dungeon gameplay BLOWS, I hate this shit so much. Honestly, if I didn't have the save states on the WII U I would've lost my mind this shit SUCKS. All luck, only really fun and playable if you have a ton of really good items, and it's just a slog and boring. The fact that there is a non 0 chance that every room I walk into could be a Monster House and just kill me is one of the worst design decisions I have EVER seen. It's incredibly awful. I understand the love for this game to an extent, but I feel like no one ever stops and actually looks at it as a whole. Look at the whole game. Not just the final scene which carries this game on it's BACK. Music does slap though I must say.

This is a pretty fun time, but there's no real reason to go back into it. I picked it up awhile ago, but finally decided to get into it now because I've been in a big Dragon Ball mood, and I got REALLY into Xenoverse 2 a few years back, though that file is likely lost to time. This is still fun, it's a good time to grind up a character and make a build. I went with a Saiyan obviously and by the end was basically alternating spamming SSJ2 and Kaio-ken and then mashing Weekend in fights. It was fun. But Xenoverse 2 just replaces it now. I don't think the story of this even really matters for it, like sure it gives a little context but it's not mandatory. Just go play Xenoverse 2.

Yeah, Ubi Montpellier can do no wrong bro. First they make Rayman Legends, one of the most amazing and polished 2D platformers of all time, and then they make one of the smoothest and most addictive Metroidvania's I've ever played. First off, the combat is just like. Oh my god. You don't just have like a repeated 3 hit combo, or a charge shot and projectile, no. They took what is basically a character action game moveset and put it in 2D. It is so addictive, and easily the best part. I was actively thinking "damn I want Sargon in a fighting game" because comboing enemies was just so fun. And on the few boss fights you could do it on, just ugh. Man it's so good. the style of the game is also great, somewhat gave spiderverse to me, in a very very loose manner. I liked it a lot, the splash screens when the bosses hit a critical attack were sick. The story was good, I liked it but it wasn't anything like spectacular. Same with the music. The traversal tools are also just great. They're pretty standard, but man everything just comes together to feel so smooth when you move. This game is so smooth. It's just so good. It's a shame it kinda went under the radar. Do yourself a favor and play it.

Extremely extremely strange that Warner Bros got WayFoward to make a Metroidvania based off of the Tom Cruise Mummy movie in 2017 and it was GOOD. It's not amazing, it's short and sweet but like it all works well and I had a good time. Worst part is having to kill your past self to get your shit back. That wouldn't be a problem if you kept your health upgrades, but you DON'T so you can just get 2 shot by enemies late game while trying to get your shit back. It sucked. But still, it's short enough to where that doesn't matter. It's pretty good. I also got it for like 5 bucks along with 2 other games though so that may be swaying my opinion. Who's to say?

A really cool aesthetic and fun gameplay loop that combines to probably the best way you can spend 3 dollars.

I mean, it’s better than the first DLC. I like taking on the Blueberry Elite 4 more than whatever you were doing in Part 1. Their teams are actually really good and took me, someone with a team that was lvl. 90+ a few tries. I still don’t give a shit about the story so whatever! Better than part 1 tho. Also, since playing this game originally, I’ve gone back and completed the Regional Pokédex so…may have a problem.

Mario Kart with spunch bob that looks strangely good.

Eh. Doesn’t last long enough to leave any kind of impression except that I really do not like Carmine and Kieran. The trio of new bad pokemon were cool as was Ogerpon. It’s more Violet, which I guess is what I payed for. I’ve heard Part 2 is better so I won’t call this overpriced yet, but this certainly doesn’t feel like 35 dollar DLC.

Dude, Pokemon company is so annoying. They've been putting out some of their best games on switch, between this and Legends: Arceus, but they look so genuinely god awful that they're difficult to support. Like these are unfinished guys. It's not possible that they looked at this and went "yep. looks good!" It's just impossible. And it sucks because, again, these are really good! The pokemon battling is the same, but you won't be doing as much of it. They made the random encounter trainers optional (THANK GOD) and so you can really get your levels by just catching and be ok. The catching is like a halfway point between Legends and normal, but I really wish they would just go back to the Legends type. It's so much fun to sneak catch. Didn't stop me from having over half the Pokedex by the end of the game. Though, a lot of that was from Pokemon Home. Speaking of, I imported all of my team from past games! I had an Ursaluna, Magmortar, Snorlax, Venusaur, Swampert, and Mewtwo. They were all level 65-80 by endgame and didn’t listen to me for half the game, but I love them anyway. Everything about this game just reeks of unfinished. Everything is there, and it’s pretty fun. But it’s not ALL there, you know? I’m really hoping that Gen 10 takes this and fully solidifies what makes a good open world pokemon game, but also I know it won’t. Also, if you’re gonna make the gyms in optional order, then have the levels scale with you like this should be common sense wtf.

Yeah, this game really isn't made for me at all, but it's a peach game revolving around theatre, two things I still like! So I picked it up (on sale at QVC ofc) and...had a good enough time? Let me go down the list of playstyles.

Swordfighter- These were good. Swordplay works well enough and jumping over enemies at the right time is fun!

Detective- Oh my god, these blow. A huge departure from everything else in the game and slows the gameplay to a crawl.

Dashing Thief- Very fast and fun feeling. I really had no problems with these, every time I got to play one I was having a good time.

Patisserie- Again, another one that is too different to me. The minigame in it is fun enough but gets old fast.

Kung Fu- Love these. Really fast and fun gameplay and the sections where you have to parry all the attacks are great. Probably some of the best parts of the game.

Figure Skater- I really like these actually. It felt good to skate around and collect shit. Not the greatest, but still fun.

Cowboy- Fun enough, but nothing special really. At least the horse riding was entertaining.

Ninja- Very fast and cool. I enjoyed the stealth sections, but it kinda felt like a worse mix of Dashing thief and Swordfighter.

Mermaid- Definitely in the bottom 3. Just kinda boring, nothing special. Rhythm game sections aren't fun.

Mighty- THE BEST sections, super fun, super cool, and has a great balance of the different styles within it. Best parts of the game easily.

Radiant- Just a final boss form. It's a whatever fight, I think it is very funny that Peach gets basically a Super form in this game though.

So yeah, overall the game has more fun sections than unfun. The bosses all being themed after different parts of theatre production was also really cute to me. It just felt like the game switched up to much to really make it's own identity for itself. Still, it's a good enough time, but I'd wait for a sale.

A solid remake collection of two heavily overrated platformers.

Still the best klonoa game. Easily too. I didn't rewatch the cutscenes for this playthrough, I played the OG recently enough to remember. But, the main game was fun! I really enjoyed myself. Still solid all around. Klonoa 1 Klonoa design is also better than Klonoa 2 Klonoa sorry.
