Had to use a guide to beat this (obviously) and ohhh my god even that was a challenge. Whoever wrote IGN's guide must've written one draft and said "yeah this is fine" cause wow that was confusing as hell.

But the game's okay I guess.

Played on NSO NES

Have you ever played Cruis'n Blast? Maybe not, but you've definitely had junk food before, and that's basically the same thing.

Peppy, how do you expect me to "do a barrel roll" when it controls like ASS?

I'd love this game if it weren't for the fact that I hate it. I've put about 20 hours into it since it launched in 2016 and still haven't seen it's ending. I've "gotten used to" the controls, but just getting used to something is different from liking it. They're just awful. Plus the game doesn't look that impressive visually and the level design is so-so. I have war flashbacks to the spider-mech boss on Fichina. They absolutely BUTCHERED all range mode.

It only gets 2 stars because of the original voice actors and how sometimes, RARELY, you can get into a flow state with looking up and down from the tv to the gamepad.

But my neck still hurts, and so does my heart.

Good riddance Star Fox Zero.

My true childhood Mario Kart, if I don't count Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart Wii and the Mario Kart GP Arcade games I would sometimes get to play (all of which are probably better).

I know everyone says Double Dash is the one Mario Kart that's worth going back to if you don't want to just play Mario Kart 8, but I disagree. Sure this thing is pretty old school, but it controls and looks so different than any other Mario Kart besides the original. The Super Circuit tracks are mostly really fun (fuck Snowland for them migraines tho) and getting all the Super Mario Kart tracks is a sick bonus. It's truly fun to get good at this game, as it feels so much more skill based than some of the newer titles.

I never got passed a few cups on 50cc when I was a little kid, so I'm glad I sunk like 9 hours into this to mostly complete it now. Overall it was worth it.

But man, the Choco Island tracks don't DESERVE the Sunset Wilds background and it's so SADDDD

played on NSO GBA

Had to wash the taste of bad Star Fox game (Star Fox Zero) out with good Star Fox game (this).

I used to think I was the hottest shit for saying I threw my Wii remote at the tv playing bowling for the first time at a friends house. Like I was SO bad ass for almost damaging their property.

This game is good. The sky is blue. I'm an idiot.

I'll keep screaming "BRING BACK MISSION MODE" from the rooftops til the day I die.

Holy nostalgia. I used to play this so much on car rides as a kid, and going back to it today was so bizarre to see it after all these years. I haven't thought about star pipes or hex coins in ages!

Never been a huge Mario Party fan but I guess this is my favorite one, which is weird since it's a handheld spinoff.

Ahh, my first Pokemon game. I didn't comprehend how fucking SLOW it was then, but I sure do now!

I'm so mad at myself for not playing this sooner, but so happy I eventually did. The definition of perfection has been blank all this time...until now.

I love this silly little horse card game.

Played it on Switch basically every day since it came out. Yeah I know that's only since like January but that's a long time for me. Kinda gettin bored of it now, so it'll probably be a long time (like a week) before I pick it up again.

The economy of time in my life is an enigma.

Instead of reviewing this (it's a good puzzle game idk) I just want to say my girlfriend doesn't play video games much but occasionally will play things like Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Stardew Valley and...Dr. Mario. She can just sit and play Dr. Mario for hours and hours. It's nuts.

Idk I think she's living proof that Nintendo should release a Dr. Mario app on phones.

Crazy how the fire flower gives Mario jaundice in this version.

This might be my biggest gaming hot take ever, but this is the weakest 3D Mario Kart. The controls are awful and slippery, the track selection is pretty weak (more bad or forgettable tracks than good ones imo), the two racer/two item system isn't nearly as mind-blowing as people make it seem, item balancing is WORSE than Wii and makes playing through the single player a SLOG, the graphics don't look great (sometimes people say Wii looks worse but I disagree), Toad is an unlockable character for some reason...okay maybe that last one isn't that important but it's just stupid.

It's still Mario Kart, so it's still mostly fun, but I think I'd rather play any Mario Kart except Super Mario Kart before it (yes that includes Super Circuit that game is slept on fight me)

Also FUCK this game's rainbow road especially that part with the upward spiral where the camera gets all wonky. I played this game like 10 hours so I could give it a "fair" review and I don't think I drove on that thing without falling off at least once.

So in conclusion DOUBLE DASH SUUCKSSSS LOL stay mad

Spent my final hours with the Wii U/3DS servers by messing around playing some of this. It's been a while since I played it, and it's not really one of my favorites, but it's definitely better than Sun and Moon or BDSP. We'll see if Pokemon Legends Z-A can expand upon the game somehow and redeem the lackluster post game.
