Finally playing this game 7 years after release, there's not much that I can add to the discussion that hasn't already been said. But, I love the atmospheric horror that the first couple of hours this game provides. I love the Baker Family as antagonists, specifically Jack. His voice actor does amazing work. The game does start to fall off a bit towards the final act. Avoiding spoilers, if you've played this game before, I'm sure you know exactly which part I'm talking about. Regardless, still an overall enjoyable experience and a great addition to the Survival Horror genre.
I earned every achievement on Steam while playing RE7 and its DLC and this game can be challenging at some points. Madhouse isn't too bad, but Ethan Must Die and Joe Must Die will each take you a couple of hours to beat. But, that's not to dissuade anyone from playing these DLCs as they are an absolute blast and a real change of pace from the main game. Regardless of if you're just playing Blackjack or playing a cooking time attack mode, the DLCs knock it out of the park with their presentation and design.
