as a huge comic reader i am consistently excited for comic book games to come out. i am ALSO consistently disappointed with games that waste the characters they were given. this has grown me to be skeptical of new games coming out. i was a lil suspicious of ssktjl, and I never had much hope for avengers. however, this is the first time i have been SURE that a game will be good.

this game improves on EVERYTHING in the first game, taking some newer features from spider-man miles morales, but adding plenty of new features on top of it. i think now that these two characters are established they can tell crazy fun stories.

i went into this game blind, literally not knowing ANYTHING. and i LOVED seeing everything unfold. the roster of villains in this game i think is a lot better than the first game, and some of the choices made in the story are insanely interesting. i'd love to say which but i try to avoid spoilers so...

i really only have two problems with this game, and one of them doesnt really matter. majority of the suits in the game, are either returning, or incredibly similar. for example, peter has the advanced suit, which is the suit created, and used for majority of the first game. in this game they introduce the advanced 2.0, which is the same suit but the colors are a LOT more vibrant. instead of making 1.0 a suit style (which is a great new feature btw), they instead made it it's own suit. another problem i have with the suits, are that 12 of peter's suits are from the spider-man movies. i understand that people are going to want to play as these suits. but i just wish they would group them together instead of making them separate, especially when they don't get new styles. the current trilogy of spider-man movies in the mcu, have six suits. i just feel thats a little too excessive.

talking about miles suits is going to be a little harder, because he as a character has only been around for a little over 10 years. he hasn't had nearly as much time as peter to get unique suits, so most of them in this game are original creations (which is actually really fun). but to me a lot of his suits just look so similar. but all of this doesn't really matter, because they are cosmetics, and most of the time you'll just stick to your favorite suit.

the other problem i have with the game is how some of the missions are repetitive. some of the activites that are based off of the characters in the game, are very underwhelming. again, i can't say much due to spoilers, but I just think these missions could be a LOT more creative.

but the pros definitely outshine the cons. this is a perfect sequel to a perfect superhero game, and all future comic book games should aspire to be.

this game is perfect. bringing every character back was the perfect reveal and gimmick. i do think the new characters introduced were not as interesting as i would've hoped, but that doesnt matter when there are 80+ characters.

spirits are a fun way to acknowledge other series and i think their incorporation to the story mode is fun too :D !
i also love how like in brawl the story mode is just over the top and the bosses look like nothing else in the game thats silly.

the dlc characters are honestly perfect choices, and i love how this game got consistent updates for i think 5 years..

just played nothing but this game for a week straight, [picked golden deer]. and it was very very fun.

i think this game was a little too ambitious with all the stuff you can do, as its a little overwhelming.. [especially with the next game, engage, being a lot simpler].

all of my problems are just tiny things that are annoying over time, [weapon durability and how the level up screen pops up SUPER often and takes like 5 seconds, istg by the end of the game i wasted an HOUR just because of those screens..]

very very fun, can recommend, especially [prepare for a niche group of people that i happen to fall under..] for people who want to get into the series, and have played the persona games.

if you are a pokemon fan this game should absolutely be on your wishlist. it is INCREDIBLY fun.

i am beyond excited for the sequel, and i pray they keep making more of these because this is easily my favorite pokemon game.

this is so easily the best mario game. the only ones that get close to it for me, are galaxy and 3d world, but those don't feel as "mario" as this game does.

it has the most fun platformer movement ever, without being overcomplicated. the capture gimmick is very very fun to use, and i'm so glad they got a lil silly with it and let u be a manhole cover n such

i think every one of these kingdoms are so fun and interesting, i love how they all feel like they have history and ur just kinda jumpin into a new world. [also a big fan of how the existence of the humans in metro kingdom imply that mario is not human i think thas silly]

the music is sosososo nice, the game itself looks beautiful,
and i am just PRAYING we get a sequel to this, like how we got galaxy 2.

im sorry, its just never clicked. first i played it via the switch port. then i emulated it, hoping maybe it would be more enjoyable. it was not.

so i bought a fucking gamecube and played it that way 😭
[okay truth be told i bought a gamecube to play other games and it came with it but ykyk it sounds funny so]

this game is very frustrating because the movement is hard for me to get used to or get control of yknow.... i do like the setting of these beaches and more tropical vistas, the music is nice too [even if i have heard it too much in backgrounds of youtube videos]

i have tried this game multiple times, and i do not think it will ever click. my apologies, sunshine fans.

this is a perfect roguelite, this is a perfect game.

people who arent used to this type of game might be pushed away and i strongly believe everyone should give it a chance.
it's easily one of the most addicting games i've ever played.

sure there are 700+ items, but it is literally never overwhelming, because you just figure out as you play. it is VERY fun seeing tons of new items constantly. and even when you are familiar with all of these items it's still very fun seeing how they all work together. the whole synergy system or whatever is sososososososo fun and is definitely why i can sink so many hours in this game.

i can play this game forever and i really think you can too.

was my first zelda game and i have sunk HOURS into this.
replayed it a billion times, (consistently get stuck in the same spots) and it stays fun.

i really wish more switch games tried to replicate how this game looks because it is so pretty. like it is very odd to me how this game looks so good but the newer pokemon games look very bad.

this is easily my favorite (and what i think is the best) open world game, as it gives you almost no direction, but you still never get lost. there are INFINITE fast travel points and that is VERY nice to have.

overall this is a huge stepup for nintendo, as this doesn't feel like any other nintendo game. very fun very awesome i like it :D
