My ratings aren't objective evaluations of the games, but my own personal enjoyement out of them. So you'll see weird shit like Dante's Inferno rated higher than Ocarina of Time.
½ to ★½: The interactive nature of the medium means these all classify as "wastes of time" for various reasons
★★: Actively dislike it.
★★½: It's a thing that exists. Didn't like it, didn't dislike it. Still wish I would've done something better
★★★: No regrets playing it. Solid, entertaining effort. Unlikely to revisit though
★★★½: Worthy of revisiting, maybe even verging on greatness. Usually good games marred by some obvious flaws, or just missing an extra something to really click with me
★★★★: Just a great time all-around. Starting here is the stuff I'm really likely to revisit in the near future.
★★★★½: Absolutely fantastic. There's very little, if anything, that I dislike about it.
★★★★★: The distinction between a 9 and a 10 is always tricky. It's a "gut feeling" kind of thing. By far the most personal rating.

Cool little shmu, but it's verging a little bit on bullet hell, and I'm not the biggest fan of those. It also becomes clearer and clearer that I am much more comfortable with vertical shmups rather than horizontal ones, for some reason that eludes me. Feels rather unbalanced too, with some ships clearly being better than others.
Gloriously non-sensical final boss and a poor translation give it some extra charm.

Puzzle games apparently go either "meeeeh" or "this is like crack" to me, with no in-between, this of course being the latter.
Similar energy to Super Puzzle Fighter, though with far less reliance on RNG. Between those two and Tetris Attack, I believe I have found my Holy Triad of puzzles and pick-up-and-play games. I finished one round of Survival, a full run of the Arcade mode, and the "Adventure" mode to call this "Completed".
Adventure mode has a couple of stages where the rate at which balloons fall is sped up, and holy shit those are fucking difficult.
Magical Drop V and VI are both on Steam but I'll be honest: beyond the HD aesthetics, I don't know what those could offer that would justify buying them instead of simply emulating this one.
And a "Magical Drop IV" apparently doesn't exist, brilliant.

I like the new biomes (and Cavern is yet another much better alternative to the Clock Tower), both boss fights are a lot of fun.
But I am seriously knocking off half-star only because of this damn enemy in the Astrolab, this dude with a book. If it starts attacking you, it just always floats above you, with no way of hitting it depending on your arsenal. What an insufferable enemy that was.
A bit lame that the final final boss can only be fought through 5BSC, but the accessibility options mitigate that a bit, and the right Aspect (which only prevent gaining new Boss Stem Cells and the no-hit achievements) turns it into a comfortable experience.
