was originally going to say this felt like a modern PS1/PS2 game (likely because of the analog sticks being used near identically to Ape Escape) though I'm not sure how accurate that feels now.
overly finnicky controls, absolutely bursting with character, systems that don't work in unison, a great soundtrack, and so many minor nuisances that culminate in a sense of indifference.

I think this made me retroactively like ocarina of time a little less because this feels like a light blueprint for a lot of what that game would go on to do and yet how I generally dislike how this game feels and goes about things
