I feel like these games get a bad rap for being too easy and hand-holdy compared to the originals but I really enjoyed ORAS. The new megas are cool albeit some unnecessary and overdesigned and the delta episode was dope.

This game is very short and lacks a lot of post-game content like the former entries but it is a nice "turn-my-brain-off" game that is still fun and charming in moments.

some consider this peak pokemon and although i cannot cosign that statement, i ain't mad at that opinion.

a pokemon game that has aged gracefully over time.

In retrospect, this game is far far far away from perfection but that didn't matter to 7 year old me. Nostalgia carries this game for me especially since Platinum does everything in DP but better. However, the memories I had with this as a child will never fade.

Playing this after all the later installments, it definitely shows its ugly flaws. Shitty level scaling and the lack of gen 2 pokemon present in a gen 2 game bog down an otherwise nice time in Johto. I'm a huge fan of gen 2 and Suicune is one of my favorites so I can't say I overly disliked this game. It's just fine. A nice game that I can go back to and enjoy if I don't think too hard about it.

my second pokemon game ever and i can still remember the joy i had when i saw rayquaza descend from the skies

a fun, fresh take on the pokemon experience although i wish more content was available post-game

i really enjoyed the card system for what it was although the story just complicates itself

The gameplay can be frustrating and some characters (Terra) are kinda comically stupid, but I do enjoy this a lot. There is a level of charm that this franchise has that makes the flaws not matter to me after all these years.

This is the best Kingdom Hearts story and cast out of the entire series. The relationship between Axel, Roxas, and Xion is heartfelt and endearing and they actually interact as friends. The storytelling and ambiance that the game sets are both eerie and alluring. As a massive KH fan, it was nice to interact with all the members of Org13 and see their personalities shine through. However, this game is such a drag to play through. Janky controls and repetitive missions that border between frustrating and boring bring down an otherwise beautiful story that I feel is in desperate need of a remake.

something about this game just felt hollow when I finished it. the combat is incredibly fun and satisfying but the story failed to hook me as much as the previous titles.
