a fascinating exploration of the foundations of the open world genre! incredibly impressive that this game was made for the ps1 in terms of its size and scope, if not the quality of its graphics. almost impossible to play without a guide but still fairly interesting even with one. :)

resident... evil... 4... 2!!! what an incredible game. the combat and weapon progression are both very satisfying. the plot is sufficiently campy for some of the series' later entries. it understands when the scares stop being effective and shakes things up to unsettle you all over again. a real rollercoaster of a game. an amusement park of horrors (not illbleed)

a classic spook-em-up! a welcome return to resident evil actually being a horror franchise that actually got a lot of screams out of me! doesn't overstay its welcome and the DLC is appropriately campy (End of Zoe is the DLC of all time, let's be real)

final fantasy xiii if the combat was good! one of the most gay games that i have ever played and in the best ways possible. all of the characters are incredibly likeable and several go through very relatable character arcs that hit almost uncomfortably close to home (in a good way)! also you get to beat up neo-nazis so it's obviously good!

they got their ace attorney in my picross! i don't know what to say about this game other than the fact that it's wonderful. compelling mysteries crossed with satisfying and relaxing picross puzzles. my only complaint is that Becky Call is not in the game enough.

the MMORPG of all time. a truly mysterious jogo in rpg form. almost impenetrably opaque by modern standards, which only adds to the quaint mysteriousness of its world. it feels like the MMORPG you'd hear about in anime back in the day brought to life.

2016

It took me a while to get around to playing this thing, but I'm really glad I did! It's an incredibly fun little action game that had me utilizing a lot of my muscle memory from games like Hyper Light Drifter to pretty easily blaze through it! Haven't played through it on Furier mode yet, but I'm looking forward to the challenge! :)

The absolute best game in the Zero Escape series and anyone who doesn't see that is a blind fool.

It's a pretty dang good Soulslike, honestly! I got to fight a dragons. Did some wizard stuff. Spent most of the game cosplaying as a catgirl. Solid stuff all around!
