i learned about the word metroidvania because of this game and that actually there is a whole subgenre of games i don't like on a fundamental and conceptual level
from now on when i tell people i usually don't like pixel art as a style i will point to this and say but sometimes it is fantastic

my only gripe is how repetitive the underworld is. i also wish i hadn't replayed BOTW a month before this came out, because even though the world is very thoroughly revamped, it's still clearly the same world. but it's my favorite gaming experience so i guess it should get 5 stars
