BOOHOO IM A FUCKIN REPLICA AND IM PROUD!. I was real excited to play this one since i heard so many good things about it and after playing it... I liked it but i don't think its the best entry or top 3, I'd say top 5. The story is easily is the best in the series, it starts a bit lame, with Luke being pretty lame but when i stopped and thought about it, this guy has been isolated in his castle his whole life so its to be expected for him to act like a spoiled cunt, but then you get to that part when he helps van destroy akzeriuth and its like "OH SHIT, I KNEW THIS MF VAN WAS SUS", and the gang just shits on Luke for what he did and he starts crying, like sheesh bro i felt real bad for him, and yeah you can say the gang were being hypocritical for not telling him about all the important details, how i see it they we're prob gon tell him at some point but it was too late. And then we get this mf Asch and im gonna be honest i don't like Asch as a character, he just comes of as a Asshole for no reason and thinks he can do everything himself, he earned his downfall. But then Luke wakes up and then decides he's gonna become a better person and cuts off his hair, which dawg, short hair Luke looks like ass, the long hair looked fire af. And then the story just keeps on getting better and better from there. All the characters are great in this game, with good motives and personality(maybe even the best cast in the series?, im not sure). Now for Gameplay Its def a improvement from symphonia with it being able to move in all directions, though freemove is pretty broken in abyss to be honest, like in the boss fights while fun, a lot of them just become agame of do the combo, freerun away from their attacks, repeat, and Overlimit is pretty cool. Music is Great in this game, especially the battle themes like god damn, easily the best battle themes in the series, except the final boss theme that shit is pretty lame im ngl. Overall This is a great tales game that anyone getting into the series should play, heck this is even a good 1st entry into the series too.

Good game but nowhere near the best entry. I def get why people love symphonia and it def earned its legacy but for me, its just a B tier game, everything this game has done later entries handled better(for the most part), like the combat was more fleshed out in abyss, the characters were more fleshed out in abyss, the music is good in the game but again way better in abyss. I do like the character designs in this game quite a bit(sheena, zelos and kratos are da goats).
My Favorite entry in the tales series. The Gameplay is easily some of the best in the jrpg genre, like team destiny does not miss with the combat. The combat alone makes this game worth playing, but what about the rest of the game?. Story is a lot better presented than the og game, like they made stahn an actual character, but leon is still just a dumbass, rutee is great, philla is whatever, woodrow is cool but a bit underdeveloped and the rest are okay. Dungeons are good but some of the endgame dungeons are so stupid(especially the last one), Bosses are all Solid with a good difficulty curve(except the final boss god damn what a massive spike in difficulty), music is solid though i do prefer some tracks from ps1. Overall it might not be the best to some people, but its def my favorite, cant wait for the rebirth and destiny 2 English patches.

The og game. Now i do like the improvements from this version that they got from destiny, but its still phantasia. The story is whatever, the characters while i do like the designs are pretty lame(except arche she's da goat), the combat is very primitive where it just becomes a game of spamming the most powerful moves, the dungeons aren't too bad but some of them can be fucking nightmare to navigate. The Music is Great though one of the best osts in the series (both snes and psx), back during sakuraba's echoey music phase.

this is an interesting game in the series, it fixes a lot of issues that i had with nexus like the braindead difficulty, like some of these ac fights do not mess around god damn, and those pulverizers honestly kinda overhyped if u just spam some explosive weapon they go down pretty easily, that final level is horrid tho, fuck u mean my hp dont get restored after getting hit by a swarm of robots and i gotta fight a pulverizer at like 5 hp like cmon man

this game is hit or miss, while is not bad out of all the ac games this game has the most repetitive level design like destroy enemy mts or defend this area for x amount of time, that's 90% of the missions in this game, and not only that but this game has no challenge to offer, i steamrolled this game in like 4 hours, all the enemy acs either melt you in 5 seconds or you melt them in 5 seconds, and those missions where u had to use nightvision added nothing to the gameplay only making it harder where to go next. And this game has the most disappointing ending so far and i thought silent line's ending sucked. But you fight nineball for the millionth time in this game but since this is nexus bro dies in like 15 seconds which is kinda a shame coming from the nineball fight of master of arena, and then you just see a swarm of mech flies and hit you and then the game ends. Disc 2 looks alright but kinda bummed out from disc 1 but maybe i'll try it out someday
pretty cool mod for nocturne a lot of great balance changes to make the game fresh, while the creator went a bit too far with the hp pools, every boss felt fair (for the most part), if u really liked nocturne you'll like this mod. (im really curious on how a smt 4 hardtype would work)
