Animal Crossing
2001
When this game came out it was so fun and unique there wasn’t much like this at the time. Originally, for the n64 in Japan they rereleased it on the GameCube. The game came with its own memory card so your town could be saved on it. The graphics look like it’s still on the n64 but that adds to the charm. You can buy a house, pay rent, dig up fossils, catch fish, chat with villagers, and more. The villagers in this game crack, me , up! They are very mean and brutal but the stuff they says cracks me. I’ve never been as burned as I have by the villagers in this game. As of today, this game is quite dated and may not hold up the same. But I’d say it’s worth checking out if you can find cheap.

This game has everything for everyone.
Outstanding music. Exceptional storytelling in some expansions. Hard and rewarding content. Cat men. Other players playing cat men.
Only con is that the online store WILL suck your wallet dry given to the amount of appealing OPTIONAL extra items it adds regularly.
Buy FFXIV and Fantasia to Hrothgar. This is an order.

I am absolutely fucking astonished that they actually managed to make a successor to DR1 without just feeling like a rehash. On a technical and writing level, I'd go as far to say this game may be objectively superior than DR1. Though which game I like more I still can't tell, DR1 holds a special place in my heart. But God, this is great.
