It's an interesting concept, but I think the repeated dungeon just made me nope out at some point, it just wasn't fun.
this game isn't horrible so much as it's not a follow up to kirby super star, which was immaculate. this was just super boring in comparison.
i even felt like superman 64 had some qualities. this is just as awful as they say. bad controls, bad camera, you name it.
i hear 3rd birthday is awful but i never played it. parasite eve 1 was an amazing combination of jrpg and the horror genre, then this is just a resident evil clone; tank controls included. no. why.

For someone that doesn't really like 4 or 5 much, you'd expect me to love this, but eww.
Persona 2 duology was amazing and Persona 3 was fresh at the time but I couldn't get behind the new formula past one game.

I loved RDR1 but this was "travel to destination and listen to people talk simulator." The other aspects were cool but god the story left me cold as hell. I understand the appeal and don't hate it, but total meh.
okay, this is a stretch as i don't particularly hate this game, i just hate a lot of things about it.

was not engaging. AAA is suffering imo
luckily we eventually got the arkham series, but this one seemed SOOO promising with an original story actually written by a comic writer. too bad i never made it 5 minutes in, it's totally broken.
you know the battle system is actually amazing and i had lots of fun with it.
but the linearity and flat characters do it zero favors. fun battles couldn't save the hollow feeling world.

@FallenGrace yeah i get it if you like how resident evil-esque it is, but the first one just had something to it that no other game since has. not saying it's a bad game, just not for me
@ftnm also the first PE just had an immaculate sense of style and personality, and the music is unmatched to this day. ps1 hit different man
@imshitting420 we need a pe1 remaster! ive been wanting to replay it but i feel like a re-release is inevitable. or i would hope so
