the time loop mechanics and the characters were enjoyable enough to engage with, theres a lot of cheesy dialogue options and writing but the overall world was laid out interestingly enough that i wanted to complete it all. the final ending was so stupid that i was laughing through most of it.

its still dark souls which means its a good game but somehow juxtaposing it against the other games in the series makes it start off as an infuriating experience where everything just feels kinda wrong. after playing it for a while though i started to get into it more and im willing to say its a decent game, just doesn't really feel like it holds up to the first game

good action game with a nice balance between stylish character moves and enemies you have to actually interact with, i like it less than the modern Team Ninja games i've played (nioh) but i can see why it was such a hit back in the day, holds up remarkably well. looking forward to playing 2 next

very cool game. vaguely "anime fighter" movement with lots of cancel-able options to quickly direct your character. aesthetics that evoke Kirby and level structures that evoke Donkey Kong Country. theres clearly a lot of love put into this game. its also hard as hell. the hitboxes feel a lot less forgiving than most games which sometimes made me a bit frustrated but seeing yourself progress from awful at the game to the first areas feeling trivial is wonderful. absolutely recommend if you can tolerate the difficulty. be sure to get all the gears, the EX levels are crazy

this game has awesome music and is just generally really beautiful, one of those games that just makes me happy to think about, unfortunately it also is really hard to progress in because i am stupid

i have no idea how to rate this game, it is not a "good video game" but it is a weird as hell piece of interactive art and the fact that it did this stuff in 2002 is interesting, i dont think this is something i would recommend to most people but for the real freaks out there who want to experience some interesting environments i would say maybe give it a try

it was a fun little puzzle game experience, sort of trivially easy but its charming and i liked playing through it

its peak match 3 gameplay except not really idk, its fun. i 100%ed the mission mode

i made the mistake of playing mother 3 before this one and while this has perfect presentation, the combat just bores me to tears, maybe someday ill return and be able to finish the game, but it all just feels like the game wants to actively prevent me from enjoying the good part

loved this, a good (and short (positive)) video game. has a very fun personality to it, writing reminds me of ratchet and clank a lot. music choices are good, they only have like 9 licensed tracks but absolutely NAILED using them every single time, i lost my mind when Number Girl started playing. the combat is pretty solid but imo kinda falls off later in the game as you get 3 allies which are very spammable and the parry sort of beats everything. also i played on "Hard" and the game was definitely not very hard. comparable combat depth to DmC imo, just needs a bit of tweaking but mostly a great experience.

pretty decent game but i found it was a bit too long because even though the story is paced well the inventory management sucks to deal with you just kinda run around move some stuff around in the slots do it again and again and again, the actual presentation and overall idea is fantastic but i just got so tired of that by the end

fantastic fighting game that aged extremely well, feels great to play and Sho is one of the most fun shoto characters ever made

the ending of the game feels random as hell but the game otherwise is fantastic. worth playing if you really liked the painful

i used to like the way smash felt to control but over time i have realized that i think this might be one of the worse feeling games i have played. i just really really do not get the hype, would rather play almost any fighting game, it gets points for being a fun game earlier on and also its pretty fun to watch high level play of, but man this just grew off me and im deathly sick of being told its the best game ever.

it is the best metroidvania by a decent margin. the trees look like they were made in ms paint
