first ff first love. one of my favorite pieces of media ever. like any ff, not without stiltedness/off notes. tidus's english va gets dumped on but he is good and suits the material perfectly.

really no complaints/drawbacks, but some of the messier games reach higher heights?

love the silly soap opera shit enough to put up with the pacing and dripfed mechanics. the most interpersonally conflicted ff cast of all time.

has some of the coolest shit ever conceived. wish it was better integrated and expounded on.

not gonna rank the pieces seperately. expect this to climb the ranking as i play further. will update with thoughts on each piece..

a realm reborn: go fetch a fetch quest. it is, at its worst, uneven and chore like. never outright bad. even at this awkward narrative crossroads - prequel for all that would come - it is fun to inhabit.

heavensward: finished the base expansion, but i'm gonna update its placement on the list until i finish the patches. taking a break for the time being.

this would be forgettable if not for the dragons, the bats, and the sick as hell plot dump at the end.

fails to tell a whole story at any juncture of its bleakly slice up multimedia franchise. ultimately a game unfinished, deficient, which sucks cuz it's full of potential. pretty fun.
