Uchikoshi Ranked

still need to play: never7, 12riven

I think i've elaborated on this game already in my 'about me' list so to keep it simple i'm a sucker for tight story design about love and single father/daughter duos, it just speaks to my life experience. also I love escape rooms. not the best story by any means but the one that spoke to me the most
this one could have been above somnium files, if my biases weren't in the way or if they had given the player a sliver more information this would have been number 1 (but i am also docking points for the distasteful portrayal of DID). well written but uchikoshi needed to elaborate juust a little for it to be perfect
this one well and truly fried my brain but i think if you play it when you finish read this: https://adayem.wordpress.com/ it will help
this game fits itself together like a machine and it had me played right until the very end. very good storytelling and atmosphere. i think the character writing leaves a little something to be desired and the dialogue itself can be stilted at times but the idea of sending yourself puzzle solutions from the future among other really fun ideas goes crazy
I am very charmed by it. uniquely feel-good compared to his other works but I can still see the roots of uchikoshi, especially the 'underwater theme park' setting at the beginning of the game LOL
very different and lighthearted though so for that i respect it for being experimental
has the same issues as its predecessor and is a bit more incoherent but it's still a fun little adventure. lots of cool twists but wish the ending told you a little more than nothing
i've given my piece before but to keep it simple: mizuki's and date's character writing was thrown out the window and its best to treat this as an alternate universe than to, say, treat 'date is wearing the mask of a serial killer bc people think he's more attractive that way' as like. an acceptable plot point
Oh i don't know. It's fine i guess. I liked the ideas it has but it is so slow & you have to wait for the very very end for anything to pay off. I like seeing the bones of all of Uchikoshi's other works in this one though
do not play this one. other people have said it more aptly than i can
