Content Warning has a very decent hook with a pretty decent execution, but after 3 hours it already begins to feel like an empty experience. Don't get me wrong, with a good group this game can be absolutely hilarious while sometimes giving you a good spook or two. However this game lives or dies based on the group you are playing with. If you've got a group drab lads who are just not that funny then this game will be an absolute bore for you. The game gives you the tools to make the entertainment, however it on its own is a big bowl of not much.

For a free game, at least at the time I got it, I cannot complain too much. If you have a good group of funny people it may even be worth the $8 entrance fee. As I play more I really hope it grows on me, but we'll definitely have to see.

I kind of hate giving this such a low rating but the game really is just okay. I completed it on my first run and it just wasn't as fun or engaging as I thought it would be. YouTubers and streamers definitely made it seem like it was more thrilling than it actually is. However, ultimately all you have to do is count shells and you'll win no problem. You get enough items in the last round that, if planned accordingly, the AI has no chance against you.

That's not to say I didn't like the game. On the contrary, the gameplay loop can be fun and the overall aesthetic of the game is fantastic. The grimy, PSOne look fits the atmosphere brilliantly. However after one play-through I'm not finding a lot to make me want to keep playing it over and over again.

For the price it's definitely at least worth checking out, but don't expect too much.
