An accessible take on TGM with a pulse-pounding gimmick that works at all levels of play! You can skin it with pictures of Kirby! That's great!

Lives or dies by the stage you play it on. There are a few duds, but outside of Journey Mode you never have to see them, so who cares?

The only Tetris game that will make you cry - unless you're a TGM3 player who has developed carpal tunnel syndrome from trying to T-spin invisible blocks.

I went to a games expo in London the year this was being promoted. They had it on a big stage and a bunch of Ubisoft tradespeople were up there with Britney Spears mics commentating on people playing. I got a standard I-piece Tetris and one of the guys went "WELLLLLL THIS GUY KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING!!!!" and I felt like LeBron James or some other famous sports person. Unfortunately, the game is dogshit.

It would be better without Puyo Puyo.

You could hack this one really easily. Combined with the open-mic voice chat, it was a really fun hearing people scream in despair when they realised you were just putting away six Tetrises a minute.

After abusing the crap outta the leaderboards you'd end up only matching with other hackers, but I could happily just spend an hour racing to see who could most efficiently place I-blocks. A unique Tetris experience.

Best Tetris soundtrack. Generated lots of sick viral videos of people giving themselves RSI before they'd even turned 20.

Similar to CD-i Tetris, this one gets some credit for at least going weird with its concept. I really feel for developers and art designers who had to come up with fresh takes on Tetris every year between 1984 and 1996.

Placing this high on the list to give myself some Tetris credibility. Don't ask me to play it.

Uses its screen space so inefficiently that I have to assume it's a joke, but has all those really dreamy beachy vacationy Sega AM2 sounds that we all love and there's a cute CG monkey, so you might actually think about playing it for longer than one session.

Tetris games shouldn't really rely on a GameFaqs instruction manual, but nonetheless a good time. Disappointing that this take on Tetris has never been tried again. I kinda want a sequel that includes all the mod-cons of modern Tetris!

Vapor aesthetic Tetris that kinda handles like shit, but is presented in such an ethereal-dreamy style that I can't help but be charmed. Worth seeking out the soundtrack!
