Decent intro, byfar the worst first game in an arc though. But by usual standards quite fun, ending is nuts

Goated. Fuck the final boss though

This one thoroughly surprised me. Kevin went from a whatever character to one of my favorites. The background stories and lore is an amazing end to this arc.

The job system, although more complex than FF3, did not excite me enough to fully experiment which just felt like a chore. Compared to FF4 this game drags on for far longer without the story to match the increased longevity. Decent though.

Some parts get a bit slow but even during those parts the drip feed of the ever expanding worldbuilding builds this game up to a masterpiece. Given the circumstances the way the dev team handled disc 2 was imo the best that they could have done, even though a lot of concepts and new terms get shot at you every scene.

for what it is it has some good scares, middle of the barrel decent fun
