Absolutely loved this for the most part. Just like most people, I liked everything except the battle system. Almost every time I had to fight I sighed a soft bitter sigh. That's what makes this game so frustrating: you can see so clearly what they could've done to make this game perfect but they just refuse to. You want to fall in love with the game but the main mechanic of the game just doesn't feel right. and therefore you keep being friends...

Gotta replay this one again but honestly still one of my favorite memories of playing video games as a kid. Everything in this game just speaks to me; the coziness of sneaking around a castle at night, the colorful characters, the humor, the little houses, leveling up, making friends, all the secrets, murder mystery.. too much to even write down here.
