Objectively an excellent game, especially in terms of gameplay, graphics and overall presentation when compared to its predecessors.

Personally though, while I enjoyed it, I wasn't as fond of it as p2-p4, it felt like it lacked (or maybe I was getting tired of the formula):
(1) P2 and P3's story impact and character development wasn't as satisfying
(2) P4 character's chemistry

This game took me 5 years to finish because I was just not interested and invested in seeing the ending despite enjoying the game prior.

A great persona game and perhaps a good beginner's entry. I wish they did more with the characters and hope the next entry tries to break through the character molds (this is the 'bro character', the 'lover character', the 'mascot', etc) because at this point, its starting to get old.

+1 whole star for finale and Henri 'route'

This game is at its best and most entertaining when you are in the LI routes that actually act like mafia members. I liked Orloks' as well but that is because I like suffering.

Its too bad I did the route order of Nicola > Yang > Orlok > Dante > Gilbert because after Orlok, Dante and Gilbert's felt out of place/out of tone with the first half of the game. They are not bad mind you, its just it feels like they belong in some other otome game. Doesn't help that the key maiden plotline is zzZZZZzzz (or is that just Dante's route in general) and the conflict in Gilbert's route wasn't as exciting as whatever the fuck was happening over in Nicola's and Yang's (mainly the LI's being entertaining trashfires)

Yang > Nicola = Orlok (son tier) > Gilbert = Dante. Sad french man rating pending

Would have been a 4 if the last two routes had better plots/kept to the tone of the other routes

An enjoyable short romp, just like the first game. Combat is spiced up just a bit with magic (although you will still mainly use bump 90% of the time) music is still amazing, bosses are much easier barring the last two at the end who put up a decent fight.

The dungeons are labyrinthine but it wasn't so bad if you run them a couple of times, even Solomon Shrine, I didn't have much trouble going through them without a map. The canal is another story though and probably the worst offender.

Its a great palate cleanser from long turn based rpgs and never overstays its welcome, final dungeon will need a bit of patience even with a map.
